I have helped many with hip and back pain. I always work the point on the foot and that has without a doubt the best results.

For the hip pain there will be a very sensitive place on the outside of the ankle. If you imagine a line from the cuboid bone ( Thats the bone on the middle outside of the foot that relates to the knee) to the outside ankle there you will find the corresponding point of pain in the hip.
