Tony Isaacs, our own Dquixote1217, has had a series of health issues and financial travails going back at least to last March.

At Christmas it looked like the clouds were parting at last and he'd have smooth sailing ahead:

Oh, bless your heart Hobie. It's been a nightmare. Well, he has had complications, has had to have blood transfusions. Then, he got a staph infection in his chest which is now drug resistant MRSE. It is packed in silver bandages [...]. If he does well through this weekend, they are going to move him to a facility where they can treat the infection and change his tubes periodically, for about 7 to 10 days.
