There are certain things one needs to maintain oneself.
Time alone, to process what you have been experiencing in your life.
Time alone with someone who is on the same wavelength, perception, state-of-mind, as you.
There are potentials that build up over time. Those potentials can only be shared with the same condition as you. Someone that is similar to you. Someone that is going through, or has already gone through, the same things as you are. So you can express your feelings and point of view, without receiving ignorant responses.
For some this is family, friends, associates, or coworkers. There are many ways and means for this to take place.
It is possible to go without that contact/relationship. It helps to know yourself really well. Meditate and process your experiences, with patience. That doesn't mean to repress your feelings or emotions. Observe and see where they come from. What led to a specific emotion or feeling? What cause/effect relationship are you dealing with? The results can be the same and/or better than interaction with those of like kind/mind.
