Somewhere in the Old Testament, there's mention of the Children of Israel sending scouts up ahead to see what they might be in for in the land they were approaching. One scout returned to report, "There are giants in the land!", meaning it might be a good idea to turn back or to find a way around. However, another scout returned to report, "We are well able to inhabit the land!" :) It wasn't that he didn't see the giants, just that, in his consciousness, they didn't constitute an insurmountable problem.

I am so glad for this post. I am very confident that we are on the road to winning this battle, and I think Cliff and Mike think so overwhelmingly as well.

I think they both feel that they are fully prepared psychologically and financially to handle all the hard times and are being more than cautious with the preparations of their audience. I don't think they think for a moment that it will be anything less than very difficult to get through, I just think they dare not say anything less than the worst they can imagine so none are expecting it to be easy to handle and not be prepared.

At the same time, it is very difficult for some people, like me, to stay positive at all thinking this is going to be nothing positive at all for many months to come. So
