Thoughts on my month with "a flu" or something....

Hi, Folks -
One day in early March I took a cab to The UPS Store to get something notarized. It was a simple trip, didn't take very long at all, and I came in contact only with the cab driver and perhaps three people in the UPS store. No one coughed on me. :)
The next day, all was well. But the day after that, I coughed seemingly endlessly, the whole day through. Something, somehow, had initiated formation of a lot of lung congestion.
The next few weeks were a bit of a blur. I never changed out of sleep clothes and never made my bed, making it easier to crawl back into bed at any time, which I did from time to time. There were times when I felt really short of breath and any minor exertion made it worse. I have a blood oximeter; at one point it showed blood oxygen in the low 80s, whereas "usual" for me is about 94. Brain fog was a frequent feature, and I recall spending long minutes in single spots as though in a trance as my brain worked away on some simple thing that in my then-present state seemed not so simple.
I increased my Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) intake and took elderberry syrup, also an Osha syrup I happened to have, but can't report any specific observable benefit from those or any other actions I took. Breathing in steam from boiling water poured over Osha root may have been helpful, but I don't quite recall, now.
I realized at one point that what I was experiencing could have been characterized as "a major detox event" - lots of toxins in the bloodstream, brought forth from somewhere for disposal by excretion and making me feel pretty miserable as those toxins were passing by. If that's what was happening, steps to facilitate that detox would make more sense than adding in toxic pharmaceuticals aimed at killing an 'invader'. Some have been saying Hydroxychloroquine works at least in large part by facilitating transport of Zinc to/into the cells. Would Zinc-C lozenges have proved effective by themselves?
Time passed. It was two weeks before I really felt like I was "coming out of it", and three weeks before I felt like I was "on the other side of it". Even then there was still clean-up of residual effects to be done - it was as though there was one last spot in my upper respiratory tract where phlegm was lingering and still had to be dealt with. I think it was a week or 10 days into April when at last I felt I could declare victory. :)
NaturalWisdom's recent post includes this text: His graphs show that all countries experienced seemingly identical coronavirus infection patterns, with the number of infected peaking in the sixth week and rapidly subsiding by the eighth week... I realize that's talking about an infection rate and not about the duration of individual experiences of the infection, but I'm struck by the coincidence that my experience had about a 6-week duration. It's as though the whole 'pandemic' is the result of a wave of some sort, washing over the land, beginning small, peaking in the middle, and then moving on, fading away ....
