When I came to America as a child of seven and ate my first piece of wonder bread, I wondered if it was bread. I wonder no more. It’s not bread.

Wheat is a beneficial food. However, after removing the beneficial parts of wheat, it is not food. It’s just a gut filler, and not a healthy one. And it’s NO longer wheat.

If statistics are cited, probably the majority of Americans eat an unhealthy diet, don’t get their heart-rates up high enough to cleanse through sweating and don’t FAST (go without food) enough to be of any real value.

(It’s a given that there are good reasons for some folks not to do some of the above).

Over consumption, binging, gorging and gluttony have a price. Moderation in ‘all’ things has great value.

FOR SOME, the quickest and most effective way to regain health is to FAST. In order to maintain health,,,, moderate eating and ‘sweat’ exercise are essential.

I’m sixty-six, not over weight, work (no, not real work) fast much of each day and seldom gorge myself on my favorite foods. I smoke, drink coffee and soda, and if I don’t keel over today, I’m healthy.

I don’t know why wheat is getting beat-up (probably make a good conspiracy theory).

If you take semi-healthy-unhealthy people who eat ‘weird’ and feed them devitalized processed wheat (and still call it wheat) then maybe that’s why you get that wheat is not good for you (but then neither are a whole lot of other ‘trick or treat’ foods that are called ‘food’ but are not food, or at least healthy foods or treats. Must be time to pick on wheat.

I buy bulk wheat (50 lb bags at our local Inter Mountain Farm; store it in a cool dry place; put a few cups in my stone wheat grinder and make flour and then make bread, cookies, etc. Occasionally I’ll sprout it and make wheat-sprout-bread (never have done the wheat grass juicing thing myself). There’s also a process to make it into a meaty texture and make a roast (my wife used to teach folks how to do it, and it tastes according to the seasoning). And there’s lots of other ways to use it.

And to sum it up: Unhealthy people who eat unhealthy diets, who exercise too little, who never fast and then eat what they call wheat that isn’t wheat after processing, probably ARE poisoning themselves, especially if they top of the meal with a lusciously delicious peace of chocolate cake and ice-cream.

And you can, but it would be incorrect, to place the blame on wholesome wheat berries or kernels. THAT would be RIDICULOUS. nem
