When I was in Austria in 1994 I was the fly on the wall at a meeting of Austrian ministers. One of the comments that was made was, "We can have NO influence on the EU unless we join it." Then another minister looked over at me and said, "What he means is, in order to destroy it, we have to join it."

Russian PM leaves Monday for economic forum in Austria

MOSCOW, Jul 01, 2001 (Itar-Tass via COMTEX) -- Russian Prime Minister Mikhail
Kasyanov will leave for Austria on Monday.

In Vienna, the premier will have a meeting with Federal Chancellor Wolfgang
Schuessel.

From the Austrian capital, Kasyanov will go to Salzburg for the world economic
forum.

During the forum, the Russian premier will have meetings with leaders of some
European countries and representatives of business circles of Austria and other
countries, who will participate in the forum.
