As many of you know, I have not been able to get on the Internet for about three weeks.

Each time I try, it takes about 45 minutes to connect, IF I am successful... after 45 minutes, I call Mindspring, or Compaq!

I have spent DAYS on the phone with Compaq and with Mindspring... I am getting to know the techs on a first name basis!! I even invited one to join the Forum... but the problems persist.

Sometimes I can send e-mail and NOT get on the web, sometimes I can't do either.

Last night at 3AM I tried my old AOL account. I have the $5.00 special that charges by the minute. I check my e-mail from the AOL webpage and don't get charged by the minute. Of course I only check it once a month and delete most of it, but every now and then a very interesting e-mail shows up there because it is the address that was published in my book, Diana, Queen of Heaven.

Last night, I installed AOL on the new computer because I wanted to see if I could access the web using AOL. If I could, I figured that maybe the problem WASN'T my computer but was the Mindspring network.

I WAS able to connect... for a short time!

This morning, I WAS NOT able to connect on either AOL or Mindspring.

So I decided that I would write my thoughts about what it felt like to be blocked from the Internet, especially when Rumor Mill has picked up thousands of new readers and is rated the #20th news site out of the top 1000 in the nation!!! (Surfing the Apocalypse in #19!)

I spent about an hour writing my thoughts, and then I

got dressed and came to this location where I knew I could get on a computer that is connected to the Internet. THEN I discovered that "due to viruses" this establishment NO LONGER allows files to be uploaded".

I have an hour, and then I have to relinquish the computer to the little old lady who is patiently waiting in line for my computer!

I will TRY to get my "thoughts" posted later today from a friend's computer! Or maybe the e-mail will be working when I get home and I can send it to one of the RMNews Agents who posts things for me.

I am looking into things, and when I find a way to get back on the Internet, I WILL BE BACH!

I will use the rest of my hour trying to read all the new posts I have NOT been able to read!! And I will add a few comments... as time permits!
