So far the three nights of the curfew have been realitly quite.
On the first nioght there were 153 arrests for curfew violations and 54 arrests for other offenses. The second night of the curfew saw 218 arrests, 200 for curfew violations, 18 for other violations. As of 9Am Saturday the count for all arrests was over 525.
The Hamilton County Prosecutor is issueing subpona's for all video tapes made by local news agencies to help identify rioters.
Ohio Gov. Taft has said that the National Guard is not needed. But has upped the presence of the Highway Patrol from 75 to 125 Troopers and 1 Helicopter.
Pres. Bush and A.G. Ashcroft has told the FBI to start investigating the shooting incident that led to the riots and the Cincinnati Police.
The FOP Pres. stated in an interview that the Cincinnati Police are not after Black males. That out of the 15 Black males shot by Cincinnati Police 13 shootings involved weapons of some type.
After the Funeral of the victim there were peaceful demostrations.
Some of the people in attendence, or spoke, were Gov. Bob Taft, Mayor Luken, Pres. of the NAACP, Marin Luther King III.The Rev. Al Sharpton will arrive Sunday.
Mayor Luken has stated that if all stays quite, (so to speak) the curfew will end Sunday!!!!!
