thanks four posting, i am very well aware of the basel cathedral treasure, which by the way went in part lost, when basel city and basel county were divided in two counties in 1833. the most important piece the "altartafel" is today owned by the museum in cluny - france, the hand of valentine is actually owned by the ermitage in st. petersburg.

the city of basel was in past many times place of et and ufo sightings, documented since some hundred years in various art pieces.

it might also be intresting to know that from basel the modernisation of switzerland was promoted during the last century, banks, transport, pharmacay, etc.

basel, site of one the oldest universities in the world, was place of a vatican council, the most important books of the past were printed in basel, the first public musuem of the world was opened in basel, erasmus von rotterdam lived in basel, nietzsche lived in basel, g.g. jung lived in basel, theodor herzel founded isreal in basel, etc. etc.

there is a reason for all this. after all basel is a very tiny litlle town, today with 180'000 citizens.

basel is also well reputed for his research on depressions (as we known in part et related)
