I can't give you a date when REAL investigative reporting ceased to exist here in the United States. It's been a slow process and one that has been hidden from view by various nefarious and pre-planned methods.
The best example I can give you of FAKE "investigative reporting" is Woodward and Bernstein and the "take down" of Richard Nixon. I think most of us at RMN now realize that Nixon was "taken out" in a "coup". But who did it and why is something that doesn't get written about, except in obscure books that no one reads.
Nixon opposed the NWO in many ways, but what got him impeached was his cooperation with a group of "Cowboys" led by William J. Casey, former OSS, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission under Nixon and Ford (1971-73), undersecretary of state for economic affairs (1973-74), president and chairman of the Export-Import Bank (1974-75), member of the foreign intelligence advisory board (1976), and finally the Director of the CIA under President Reagan (1981-1987).
Casey was the Chairman of the SEC during Nixon's second term. It was during his tenure there that he and other "Cowboys" put in place a 40 to 50 year plan to bankrupt the member banks of the Federal Reserve and thereby destroy the "Cash Cow" that funds the New World Order.

There are two sides to the CIA. One was called the "White Shoes"... they are now known as Neo-cons, One-Worlders, or Faction ONE... the NWO. The other side is known as "The Cowboys" here in the United States, and Faction TWO in the rest of the world.
Posterboy examples of how the NWO GIVES information to CHOSEN, reporters, are Woodward and Bernstein! Watergate and this current Watergate replay... i.e. the "surfacing" of W. Mark Felt as Deep Throat, are perfect examples of the ELITE using their wholly owned and controlled media to alter history and ensure their own survival.
I do not know the background of Carl Bernstein, I have never felt motivated enough to do a Google search! But Bob Woodward has been rumored to be a CIA operative from his college days. Yes, the CIA recruits in college... it even recruits in high school!
So with Woodwards track record I wouldn't trust him at all.
Should RMNers trust Woodward? Just as Libby is about to be thrown in jail he says he knew all along?
