We come to the true question, namely, which is best for the United States, a federal or a supreme national government; or which will best secure their strength, wealth and liberty ?
The difference between the strength, wealth, and liberty of a government, and of a people, first presents itself. Wherever a government possesses too much of these, the people have too little. Restraints upon a government alone beget liberty, and liberty alone begets that high degree of national strength, able to withstand both foreign aggression and domestic usurpation.
Can the artifices for destroying our division of powers, be better than these benefits, both splendid and substantial ?
Is it enthusiasm or sober reason, which believes that a division of power begets liberty; that liberty animates the people to defend their country; that it extorts admiration from nations compelled both to applaud and to envy; and that it brings wealth and comfort by invigorating industry ?
Does this accumulation of facts contain no truth, and convey no admonition ? To me, it seems that our union, founded in the division of powers between the state and federal governments, and annexing a genuine sympathy to each department, is the strongest government hitherto discovered for securing all the benefits which have induced mankind to construct political societies.
It opposes activity to torpor, a common interest to monopoly, and a union of State nations to a mercenary army.
Bad passions, however, prefer a concentrated supremacy, because it affords them more room and subjects them to less restraint.
Originally published in 1823, near the end of this illustrious patriot's long and productive life, New Views Of The Constitution sounds a klaxon horn, an alarm bell, and in many passages describes the various ways that "a consolidating power" or combination of interests, might act to overthrow "our division of powers between the state and federal governments".
That act of sedition has long since arrived, and by the vicious application of its own designs and ambitions, it is now being revealed to all Citizens of these States united. Revealed in ways both large and small, sacred and profane, major and minor.
THE REALITY OF THE PRESENT CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS: IT IS NOT PERSONAL BUT IT IS POLITICAL
"There is a Constitutional Crisis in the offing ..." writes V.K. Durham, former federal investigator and CEO of the Durham Trust. "Each of our lives have been affected by corruption at the highest levels, and in the highest Offices of Public Trust."
The present crisis, says Ms. Durham, is not simply about the calculated sell-out of domestic industry by the Free Trade Uber Alles crowd in the Congress, and their allies in think tanks and foreign corporations. It is not simply about the official prevarications and the non-official lies which have led these United States into disastrous wars in Viet Nam and Iraq.
It is not simply about the corruptions inherent in the mass media organizations which have themselves been "consolidated" during the administrations of both Democrats and Republicans, thus acting to choke off investigative reporting and to replace news analysis with gossip-mongering. Yes, these are all elements of the sickness which this Constitutional crisis now exhibits, but these elements are the symptoms and not the root cause of this "national malaise."
The sickness itself has its origins in the crooked dealings which put a private corporation in charge of the monetary policy of these States, that is, with the formation of the Federal Reserve System in 1913. It was augmented with the expansion of its powers under The Foreign Federal Reserve Act of 1919. Money is the lifeblood of a commercial society. When the Congress unilaterally abandoned its responsibility to be the governors of the monetary system for this union of States, they acted to allow the infections of avarice, greed and duplicity to attack this lifeblood.
The history of this illness has, indeed, been written in the blood spilled and the lives lost by our heroic and loyal young men, and now women, acting as soldiers of the United States of America. And by those who have volunteered to serve the country as intelligence officers and diplomats, for they too have been murdered by foreign Powers, while the bankers and their families remain hidden from view and protected by private security.
From the late entry into the ill-omened War For Greater Serbia to the brush-fire war-fighting of the 1950s to Viet Nam and now Iraq, the price paid for this abandonment of Congressional responsibility -- originating in 1913, augmented in 1919, and completed in 1933 and '34 -- has been the death toll taken on our fighting men and now on our women. And beginning with that bloody "Great War," Woodrow Wilson's war, the intellectual center of the so-called "Internationalists" has been Wilson's Princeton University, located in Princeton, New Jersey.
It cannot be stated any more clearly than this: the formation of the private banking monopoly called The Federal Reserve System was the precursor of this dire illness, and the actual sickness itself has generated vast profits for those who own and control the banking cartel, while their minions have been busy imposing a true Death Tax on the people of these States united. It is, therefore, no surprise that the man nominated to be the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve Banking System is Ben Bernanke, of Princeton University, another dyed-in-the-wool internationalist.
"This is in essence our problem," writes V.K. Durham, "as We, the People of the 10th Amendment Government, and yet we have the power to bring all of this to a screeching halt. But only if we stand in unity. The choice is up to each of you," she writes, meaning that the choice is up to each of the Citizens of these States united, and to the legal residents here who can act in support of the sovereign Citizens. What Ms. Durham is saying is that the States are not dead-letter corporations, they are real political bodies inhabited by real, living people. And it is these people -- the Citizens combined with the legal residents -- who have the right, the power, the duty and the moral obligation to bring forward a cure for this sickness in the lifeblood of this country. The leadership at the federal level is so wholly corrupt that they can no longer be relied upon to do anything right, except to cash their own paychecks.
They have, with few exceptions, been completely co-opted or bought off by the foreign Powers who control the lifeblood of the country from afar, or from the shadows here at home. They have consented to, or abandoned their oversight of, the many machineries now installed under "the executive branch," including the bewildering varieties of intelligence agencies and paramilitary groups formed in violation of the Posse Comitatus and other American traditions.
There is absolutely no Constitutional mandate of any kind for having armed Agents of the Internal Revenue System ( not to mention the many proofs of the basic, fraudulent nature of that "system" used for looting the homes of the citizenry ), nor does the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms draw its membership from the militia of the sovereign States. Yet as has been amply demonstrated entirely too many times, the IRS can dispatch its thugs to make a mess out of any business, company, or private home, and the BATF can mount a paramilitary attack against Citizens and legal residents within the boundaries of a sovereign State, and to use false or misleading information to justify that kind of lethal force.
And when their viciousness and depraved indifference is exposed to the world at large, these factotums of falsehood can be assured they will not be reprimanded, disciplined, disdained, or discharged ! They will be promoted and congratulated for their "courage" and intrepid pursuit of murder under the color of law. They will certainly not be prosecuted for inciting to riot or negligent homicide.
The long-standing contest between monarchy, aristocracy, and democracy [ in Great Britain ], excited struggles without producing any permanent advantage to mankind, by offering prizes to bad passions, and over-looking a truth, essential to [ our ] happiness, upon which our federal system is founded.
These three principles were supposed to cover every species of government, because it was taken for granted that every species must possess supreme power, and therefore it only remained to determine by which of these rival principles supremacy might be most safely exercised. Absolute power was the golden apple contended for by three idols, each of which purchased votaries by promises and bribes.
The United States withdrew their adoration from these spurious deities, separately or united, and extracted a political system from ... moral qualities, imprinted by the Creator on the face of the earth and the heart of man.
These happily impressed upon them the uncontroverted truth, that the people are more honestly wedded to their own happiness, than a supreme power in any form. From this primary truth, they extracted another ... namely, that the people of a state love themselves and understand their own interests better than any other people can possibly do; and upon this consideration, exactly as sound as the wide distinction between a monarch and a nation, they have established a political system by which each state is enabled to exercise its exclusive knowledge [ of its own requirements and liberties ].
That is precisely why the States were given the power to pick the Electors for President and Vice-President, by the means that the individual Legislatures might contrive, on their own terms. The founding fathers wanted there to be a clear understanding at all times that the President -- as Commander in Chief -- was the leader of the political bodies of the people known as States, and not simply the leading mobster of a disorganized and fluid national mob !!
That is precisely why the founding fathers entrusted the selection of Senators -- serving six year terms -- to the democratic action of the State Legislatures, themselves to be selected by the means approved in the various State constitutions !! The Senators were created to be both a check on presidential power and the advisory panel for presidential action, so that in the world at large -- with the wickedness of foreign Powers so apparent and so intransigent -- the leadership of the federal government would be restrained from breaching the peace, when there was peace, and resolute in prosecuting war when there was a lawfully declared war ( or invasion ).
Both of these securities to the liberty and prosperity of the people resident in the States have been largely overthrown: the Electoral system is practically nullified by the use of the Restricted General Ticket in almost every State, and mass voting for Senators has acted to reduce that Office to a popularity contest, not far removed from the pageantry of Miss America. And without the benefits of endowed scholarships for the winners and runners-up ....
The destruction of the plan for selecting Senators by State Legislatures was executed in the name of "democracy," and is yet another legacy of the Wilsonian era and the swindles which put the Federal Reserve System in charge of the lifeblood of this commercial society.
Local regulations, made by a majority of states, or by decisions of the supreme court, are only metaphysical satraps, despatched by despotism into provinces, for the usual purpose of gathering money; as in the cases of assuming state debts, banks, protecting duties, internal improvements, the pension law, the lottery, and an unrestricted appropriation of federal money.
They substantially reduce the state governments to prefectures, subject to the dominion of the federal government, instead of being functionaries responsible to the people of the state.
John Taylor of Caroline was not averse to the use of democratic methods, as his service in the Senate of the United States shows. He was not against having a federal government with sufficent powers to defend against, and defeat, foreign-based attacks or adventures which sought to inflict economic losses on this commercial society. He warned that a consolidated national government which can prescribe local regulations and enforce them would acquire other powers too numerous to mention and almost impossible to fully comprehend.
He stated, clearly, in 1823, that the Constitution was "intended to establish a division of power between the natural affection which the people of each state possess for themselves, and between the natural affection which all the states possess for themselves in relation to other countries, as a better security for liberty, than a supreme power in [ any ] of the three old principles". Those being monarchy, aristocracy, and democracy.
"If the constitution had intended to impose upon the state governments in the exercise of their powers," wrote Taylor, "the duty of obeying the federal government, it would have contained provisions for extorting that duty." And one of those provisions would have been a federal ability to break-up a state or to consolidate two or more states, by hook or by crook. That does not exist, even now, in this time of crisis and confusion.
"The state governments are not removable," reminds Taylor, "because they are not subordinate, nor the federal government supreme."
THE RESERVED POWERS OF THE PEOPLE, WHO ARE THE SINEW AND MARROW OF THE STATES UNITED
For more than three full generations the people resident here in the United States of America -- Citizens and legal residents -- have been bullied and manipulated by a private banking cartel which used crooked means to gain control of the commercial lifeblood of the country, and which augmented that control with further awards of power and authority over foreign banking operations wishing to do business here. The final insult was the extraction of gold and silver from the interstate economy, and the replacement by the shadow powers, of lawful money with "Legal Tender." This was done with the Federal Reserve Notes, circulated in the millions after 1934. Notes. Debt instruments. These debt instruments violate the basic compact of the union of sovereign States. They are little pieces of robbery, petit larceny, theft of services by fraud.
Federal Reserve Notes cancel many of the reserved powers of the States under the Tenth Amendment, and they penalize the productive labor of the people resident in the States, the sinew and marrow of the political departments known as STATES.
For most people, this issue is completely opaque. They do not know the difference between real money and debt swapping, and they cannot imagine that a lifetime of paying off a mortgage with Federal Reserve Notes does not actually give them true ownership of their home or business or their personal tools and machinery. They cannot understand why money earned in the 1940s will not have the purchasing power it did then, in the 1980s or '90s. They hear august economists spin fairy tales about "inflation" and "markets" when the truth of the matter is so much simpler.
Inflation of the currency is a form of robbery executed by the banking cartel against its customers, the people of these States united. By all the standards of industrial and scientific progress, it should be easier for a working man or woman with a good education to make the MONEY needed to buy a new Buick or Nissan or SAAB, as the wages paid to educated workers rise on an annual basis. But instead of seeing industrial progress and improvements making 'big ticket' items more affordable and more easily purchased and maintained, the banking monopoly has used every means to REVERSE that equation.
Legal Tender as a currency means never being able to actually pay off anything, ever. Constant inflation of the currency acts to negate, obviate, counter-act and contain all of the advances of science and engineering in the industrialized society of the last one hundred years !! Nothing ever gets cheaper despite the introduction of automation, the rationalization of skilled labor, the concentration of decision-making into smaller groups of executives, and mass purchasing of basic commodities !!
Why is that ?
The answer to that question is simple: nothing ever gets cheaper because the shadow governors who control the lifeblood of this country cannot make money without debt, and if any manufactured items truly get more affordable, then the debt service on those items will drop off, decline, and eventually vanish completely. Why is it that a family which has a gross income of $92,000 per year in a State like Connecticut, Massachusetts or California cannot pay cash for a $ 29,000 SAAB or a new Buick ??
It is because the Congressional minions who are controlled by the shadow governors of the banking monopoly have laid down layer upon layer of taxes on everything the people who work for their wages and salaries buy, invest in, or give to their families as endowments or inheritances. It is a replication of the most obscene form of British social control, and is fundamentally anti-American from beginning to end.
The fraud of the income taxes allows the shadow governors to manipulate the wages and salaries paid everywhere, by intercepting a large fraction of these funds and then by later promising "refunds" to the good little laboratory rats who do the real work. The fraud of federal dispensations to the States for "education" and for "housing" keeps the people at large thinking that "government" is working for them when the opposite is wholly true.
And most viciously, the never-ending streams of revenue which "income taxes" provide, as do capital gains and inheritance taxes, give the shadow governors the ways and means to provoke and fight wars everywhere, or anywhere, or somewhere ... as they decide in their cloisters. Then that decision is handed down to the corrupt media monsters and spun to the think-tanks and then these opinion makers tell the minions in Congress what to think and how to vote.
And these morons always vote for war, now, don't they ?
And that is why V.K. Durham -- so alike John Taylor of Caroline in her spirit and her dedication to the founding principles of the Constitution -- has taken to sounding the klaxon horn, and taken to ringing the bells of alarum ... for even as "democracy" has eroded the foundations of the republic, the shadow governors who control the lifeblood of our commerce and who make decisions for all without having ever been elected by any ... are conspiring to make democracy itself unworkable and unwanted.
T. Woodrow Wilson said that America could make the world safe for democracy in 1917, when he pushed for and won his Declaration of War and sent our doughboys off to the killing fields of northern France. Wilson won re-election in 1916 by using the slogan "He Kept Us Out Of War". That was a falsehood.
HE LIED. HE LIED ABOUT ALMOST EVERYTHING.
In October of 2005, the Chicago White Sox erased the Scandal of the Black Sox era, and reclaimed their status as champions, which they had not held since the autumn of 1917. The team which won the Series so impressively was, in many ways, symbolic of the people who are now here, who are now residents and Citizens of these States united. And as Chicagoans united to salute the Black, White and Silver of the White Sox ....
So the Citizens of these States united need to understand that three generations of oppression by the shadow players of the Federal Reserve System and all their hired liars, has to come to an end, now, so that black and white, brown and yellow, can work in unison for lawful money paid as gold or silver certificates.
The time has come, as the Constitutional crisis described by V.K. Durham deepens all around us, for an end to the false flags of Notes and Legal Tender, and a movement forward into true ownership of real property.
Then and only then will the truth of the bounty of the Durham Trust itself be realized, and the golden bonus of the Peruvian Commodity Contract 3392 be brought into focus, and the GREAT REBUILDING begun -- in the States, by the people of the States, secure once again in their liberty, their rights, their property.
The alternative path leads directly to The Fourth Reich, to a new Kristallnacht, and to a new railhead with a new sign that reads WELCOME TO BERGEN BELSEN. ABANDON HOPE ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE.
