AUTOPSY: DUISENBERG FOUND DEAD,UNCONSCIOUS OR LIFELESS?

Here he was regarded as unconscious "...Police did not give a cause for Duisenberg's death, but rescue teams and police said Duisenberg was found unconscious in the swimming pool at his home in the town of Faucon and could not be resuscitated...." Here he is reported as dead "..."He was found dead in his swimming pool this morning," a spokesman for Marseille police said....." Here he was reported as "lifeless" "....The 70-year-old Duisenberg, who served as the first president of the ECB between 1998 and 2003, was found lifeless in the pool at his villa at about 11:30 am (0930 GMT) but rescuers said they were unable to revive him...." Police said they would issue a statement later on Sunday after conducting an autopsy. And here are the latest news (AP) from this AUTOPSY: An autopsy showed Duisenberg had drowned after an unspecified cardiac problem, a regional prosecutor said. He was found unconscious in the swimming pool at his home in the town of Faucon and could not be resuscitated, police said. Duisenberg "died a natural death, due to drowning, after a cardiac problem," said Jean-Francois Sanpieri, a state prosecutor in the nearby town of Carpentras. He did not give further details about the autopsy.... The mayor of the tiny village of Faucon (near the city of Orange, North of Avignon, France), Danny Aubert, told AFP that Duisenberg's wife had called emergency personnel who later had tried to rescue him.
