Dear Friends, Patriots, and Warriors of Truth:

"To this day the shape of the knowledge organization and education, and particularly of the higher education, remains in precisely the same state of picturesque headlessness and material ineffectiveness as the older, natural-grown, European disorder of institutions." So said the great British science-fiction writer, H.G. Wells, in "The Fate Of Man," in 1939.

"It cannot compass any of the major problems before the nation", wrote Wells concerning American institutions of higher learning. "The resort of the undergraduate world to the realities of the playing fields is a sure indication of the unattractiveness of its array of subjects. They yell. Every university has a yell.

"And well may they yell and go wild and frantic in their stadiums, for their lives and their powers are being largely wasted." Considering that Wells had a genuine affection for Fabian socialism, and yet was an outspoken and unapologetic critic of the boorish, clumsy and racist political monopoly that is the British aristocracy (then and now), his words ring true even more so today than they did in the dark year of 1939.

Perhaps the place to look for an explanation of the pardon granted by William Jefferson Caligula -- the First Reprobate and former Confidence Man from Hot Springs -- to fugitive financier Marc Rich is not in the contributions of "the ex-wife" but in the counsel and consolations of the royal Windsors, Queen Elizabeth the Deuce and her bloody prince. While this country was immersed in the Ordeal of the Electors and arguing over whether or not the sovereign State legislature of Florida really did have the right to name a slate dedicated to George the W., The Arkansas Traveller was flitting about in Ireland and England.

That trip was a halcyon vacation for Willie Jeff, and he bathed himself in the adulation of the Irish mobs; but he also visited with Queen Elizabeth -- the agenda for which and the consequences of which were not discussed at all in this country -- while he was on his last major trip abroad. What did they discuss?

Did she counsel him on his plans to hi-jack three-score and ten prized art works from the White House? Did she advise him ... get thee to Harlem, where rentals are not so dear? Or did she discuss the "love child" fathered by Marc Rich and the scion of the Yugoslavian royal dynasty -- Catherine Oxenberg? Who is that child? Where is that child? And why is that Hollywood glamour gal now married to Kasper Van Dienst, another empty-headed movie star (but one with a Prussian name).

William Jefferson Big Creep crawled out of Arkansas on the political trail blazed by his Uncle Buddy, prepping for the Big Show at Georgetown, Oxford, and Yale Law. It has been asserted that he was recruited by the CIA station in London when he arrived at Oxford, or perhaps even at Georgetown. Has he always been a bag man for the British monarchy? Or is he, as Hamilton Jordan asserts, in today's Opinion section of the Wall Street Journal, just an extremely clever and effective "Grifter?"
