Heart attacks, strokes and coronary thrombosis are probably the number one cause of death in the Western world. Every year millions suffer and thousands die. Yet there is a cure, in fact there is a way to prevent these ailments before they even occur; it's cheap and easy to administer and most importantly it is available to everyone. There's only one problem; it would threaten and perhaps even end the Billion Dollar profits that the global pharmaceutical industry makes. Quite simply the pharmaceutical industry's profits are built upon ill health and illness and they don't want you to know about preventing these ailments.
Thus a medical breakthrough has gone largely unnoticed by the world. In a historic scientific discovery, Dr. Matthias Rath has revealed that vitamin C deficiency weakens the walls of the blood vessels. This in turn causes scurvy and also leads to atherosclerosis and, more often than not, that results in heart attacks and strokes. The following is an open letter from Dr. Matthias Rath, the Dutch doctor who is now campaigning for a wider awareness of his discovery, to British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Dear Prime Minister Tony Blair, Dear Members of Parliament,
I am addressing you as the scientist who solved the puzzle of human cardiovascular disease, a discovery that will eliminate heart attacks and strokes and save millions of lives. This discovery is opposed by the pharmaceutical industry trying to protect their billion dollar global market of ineffective and expensive prescription drugs. In the United Kingdom the pharmaceutical industry is holding hostage the health of millions of people, as well as the national economy, in order to serve their economic interests.
You should be aware of the following facts:
· The very nature of the pharmaceutical industry is the business with ongoing disease. Therefore, prevention, cure or eradication of any disease hurts the pharmaceutical business.
· More than 98% of all pharmaceutical drugs are prescribed, sold and taken without having any proven healing effect.
· The known severe side effects of these pharmaceutical drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the industrialised world, surpassed only by heart attacks, cancer and strokes.
· While these pharmaceutical drugs do more harm than good, they still have to be paid for by the health insurance premiums of millions of British people.
The pharmaceutical industry itself is the main reason why in the United Kingdom and in other countries the most common diseases such as heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and many other diseases are increasing rather than declining.

My discovery that heart attacks and strokes are not diseases, but an early form of scurvy and therefore preventable, can reverse this unhealthy trend fundamentally. The fact that cardiovascular disease - like scurvy - can now be prevented, and even reversed, will eradicate heart attacks, the number one killer in Great Britain, and save millions of lives.
Now that we can liberate ourselves from the cardiovascular epidemic, the pharmaceutical industry has formed an international cartel aimed at stopping the dissemination of any information about this discovery. In order to protect their billion pound annual market of ineffective but expensive prescription drugs, the Pharma-Cartel deliberately continues the cardiovascular epidemic and risks the unnecessary deaths of millions of people.
To achieve these unethical goals , the international Pharma-Cartel, plans to outlaw all health statements in relation to vitamins and other natural therapies for all member countries of the United Nations - that is world wide - by abusing the United Nations Codex Alimentarius Commission.
Spearheading these unethical efforts are the German multinationals Hoechst, Bayer and BASF. Once before in this century, these three companies formed a Cartel, the IG Farben Cartel, which brought misery and death to millions of people all over Europe. BASF, Bayer and Hoechst financed Hitler's election campaign and his preparations for his war against Great Britain and the rest of Europe. In return for their support, this German Cartel participated in the plundering of Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Poland, Russia and other countries. The Nuremberg War Tribunal tried 24 mangers of Hoechst, Bayer and BASF for mass murder, slavery, plundering and other crimes against humanity.
Now, half a century later, the very same companies and their financial backers are again planning to enrich themselves at the expense of the health and lives of millions of people. Today this German Pharma-Cartel is supported by British pharmaceutical corporations such as Glaxo-Wellcome and Smith, Kline and Beecham.
These special interest groups have also increased their pressure on the British Government:
· To support the Pharma-Cartel's Codex Alimentarius plan to outlaw - via the United Nations - all health statements in relation to vitamins and other natural therapies worldwide.
· To launch national legislation in Great Britain banning any health information on vitamins and other natural therapies. Under the code name MLX 249 the British Parliament is preparing legislation that will make it a criminal offence to state any health benefits of vitamins and other natural therapies. The fact that vitamin C deficiency caused scurvy and blood loss of sailors centuries ago would have to be eliminated from school text books.
