Well, yeah: "if". :) However, there's good theoretical reason to suspect the famous Tunguska event wasn't caused by an asteroid, but, perhaps, by Tesla:

I think it might be true that Mamma Earth is "a member of the Universe" and is not under arbitrary or accidental "attack" from the slings and asteroids of outrageous fortune, but has a bio-active 'aura' just as each of her human inhabitants does.
That's bio-active, not bio-passive; something that may have more than a subtle influence on what does or doesn't happen here.
