What A Joke!

Over the past weeks we have watched the march of the puppets across our TV screens. No, they’re not from past times such as Howdy Doody or Kukla, Fran and Ollie. These puppets are lawyers playing out scenes in courtrooms, and are providing as much drama as any soap opera or best-selling thriller. Every marionette is programmed to upstage, outshout and outlie the others, and they perform admirably well.

These high-end ivy league puppets seem oblivious to the fact that those of us in the audience recognize and understand that the essence of their performance is pure show business. Do they think that their performance is that good, or do they believe that we are that ignorant? While they strut and preen in arrogant assurance that we are totally hornswoggled, they seem unaware that we’re busy wrestling with our mixed feelings about either performing citizen’s arrests or grabbing pitchforks and cleaning house.

Because these men have worked so industriously to ‘reinvent’ our government for their own profit, there is now a death struggle occurring for the presidency, and it seems that the masks are off. Not only that, but they are now invoking in various courtrooms the very Constitution and federalist principles they have mightily endeavored to erase for years (you remember, the Constitution that was supposed to protect us from these thugs, keep them from disturbing the people’s peace and stealing our wealth). What a joke!!

These are the very people who have told us through their media mouthpieces that the Constitution is old, outmoded, and doesn’t work for these modern, progressive times. They have declared it a ‘living document’, gloriously subject to change as the morals, ethics and natural affections of our rulers melt away like springtime snow. But the people of the Republic of Texas don’t see it that way. We see a Constitution so raped and perverted that it wouldn’t work if you strapped an Evinrude outboard to it. It’s been renovated beyond restoration.

How does one reach this conclusion? It’s not much of a leap, really.

Our right to protect ourselves from tyrants is being taken away one law and one gun at a time.

Our right to worship is okay as long as we do it in the dark and behind closed doors.

Our freedom of speech has been muzzled by so-called ‘hate speech laws’, a device used by Hitler.

Our freedom of peaceable assembly is met with masked, bulletproof federal troops (now euphemistically known as ‘police’).

Our freedom of press is still intact as long as we’re willing to spend time in a jail cell for it.

Our right to form citizen militias for our own protection against a tyrannical ruler has been criminalized.

We are unlawfully taxed by a corporate collection agency, and ‘tried’ in their private ‘courts’, while being represented by ‘attorneys’ whose first allegiance is to the court itself.

Our right to be physically safe, and to preserve the privacy of our homes, papers and communications against arbitrary search and seizure is gone, replaced by warrantless searches, a computer program called Echelon, and ‘asset forfeiture’, a new term for confiscation without due process, otherwise known as theft.

It’s no wonder that the bold arrogance of politicians becomes more breathtaking every day! How can we stop them? Oh that’s right, at the ballot box. Yes, the fabled American ballot box in action. Another political rape victim. What a joke!!
Republic of Texas citizens have been attempting to spotlight government abuses for years and a government that steamrollers the rights of the same people who put them in office. For our efforts, our people have been tried in kangaroo courts, jailed on spurious charges, pursued by the IRS, harassed by local police and mocked as being ‘radical separatists’.

However, in the very near future we will have a Constitution that the people of the Republic of Texas can depend on, a government that will serve the people rather than enslave them, and an independent nation that will be a refuge for all those who yearn for freedom with all their hearts. And that’s no joke!!!
