As I write this, we're building up to a full moon in the sign of Taurus at 11:07 pm tonight at Eastern Standard Time here in the U.S. There's a lunar eclipse, too.
Halloween, one of the eight main pagan holidays, happens this Sunday, October 31st.
And, of course, general election day here in the U.S. falls next Tuesday, November 2nd.
All of these things happening over the course of a few days will be creating a magnetic pull of increased tension and emotion.
A full moon acts as a "drawing" mechanism, pulling everything from bodily fluids to emotions to the surface. People with arthritis often have swollen joints that worsen during a full moon - that old "water on the knee." People who are prone to emotional problems like depression or alcoholism will find their symptons getting more challenging around a full moon.
Here in the U.S., many are just writing it off as "election nausea," but the energies of this period are very real.
What we need to realize is that the field of human consciousness is the ONLY battleground that is really at stake. Fear is purposefully being heightened in this time, and many negative entities look at this as the perfect period for "feasting" on people. If you already have entity attachments in your auric field (and we all do, it's quite a challenge to clear them out even if you work on it every day)....these critters are looking forward to an especially yummy buffet over the next few days.
Hear that slurping sound? That's the "monkey" on your back looking for fuel. (Or, more likely, elementals or other parasitic entities trying to harvest your negative emotions.)
The key is to try to prevent the "slide" that is so easy to fall into during these periods. You will be challenged by lots of toxicity coming off of other people in your environment...as the entities attached to THEM look for food and try to stimulate you into negative energy expression. Will you allow yourself to be "harvested" in this way?
The media is another big tool that can get us to flip into our "dinosaur" brain, that fight or flight, sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll escapism that is mistaken for "entertainment" in our culture.
So limiting your exposure to these things over this week will help you to minimize any descent into personal madness or toxic energy patterns.
It's all very contagious, this business of how we all link to each other. On the one hand, we have a unity of spirits, where we are all deeply connected at the soul level. On the other, because of that same, sacred connection, when a large percentage of us are feeling disrupted, you can feel this energy travel across the ethers. Even if you're sitting on a mountaintop peacefully doing your "Oms," you're going to sense this disturbance in the "Force." Your brothers and sisters are out there suffering and emoting and running around in their lizard mind-set, doing damage to each other, to their kids, to the environment. And you will feel the effects.
Halloween can be another problem. Traditionally seen as a sacred time, a mini-equinox or solstice time, when the astral worlds are less separated than they usually are, this is the time when seers and mystic commune with their angels and spirit guides or chat with their ancestral spirits. Any loved ones who have passed away in the past year can also be reached at this time, the communication flows more easily between worlds.
All that stuff is good.
But then the practitioners of the dark arts have their own, twisted form of celebration...vampiric festivals, energy harvest, blood drinking, you name it. Summoning up the dark ones to do their bidding, making vows with these energies to achieve their own selfish goals.
And ALL of it this year will be aimed at manipulating things on the world stage...especially the Presidential election here in the U.S. The U.S. still stands as a huge world power, and because it has the ability to "decide" on the fate of so many of the world's creatures, the manipulation of who will assume the highest office in the land is a major energetic battleground.
If you see things clairvoyantly, you know that the angels and the white warriors are working hard on this one.
And the "bad guys" are pushing hard, too.
This next week is a spiritual test for us all. It's a test for us all to maintain our spiritual clarity and our intent.....and to engage in power prayer.
Picture group consciousness as this heavy, squirming mass of energies....some dense, some light and quicksilver in texture.
You want to focus on cutting through the black, the gray, the dull-looking and dense areas. Permeate it with divine wisdom, peace, harmony, and the blessings of God/Goddess/the angels, etc.
For fun, you might try envisioning cutting through the darkness with your light sabre (like the Jedis in Star Wars.)
Or picture the archangel Michael and his ultra-powerful sword cutting through the garbage, lighting a path through the fog, and helping create pathways through which true love can emerge.
Invoke whatever aspects of Deity or Higher Consciousness who are dear to you - and ask for their assistance. They can magnify any work that you are doing by about a gazillion percent!

Let's counter-act the dark shenanigans of the ones who THINK they control the game here.
They can never overcome the power of spiritually aware people raising their minds, their hearts, and their emotions to anchor a higher vibration here on this lovely planet.
