:That's an important distinction: the difference between Lucifer and Satan. And it's a perspective that the mainstream media generally ignores. Yet the very words illusion and delusion lie at the very heart of this so it's instructive to take a look at the origin of these two words.
Any dictionary will tell you that the word Illumination is derived from the Latin word Lui meaning light, but that is only part of the answer. According to ancient lore Lui was the bearer of light, a deceptive glow which heralded a false dawn; in Celtic mythology a similar figure wove the fabric of deceit disguised as enlightenment: hence the words illusion, delusion and illuminate. And here it should be noted that Lucifer operates in contradistinction to another figure, the Lord of materiality: known to the ancient Persians as Ahriman and to Christians as Satan.
Modern Christianity makes the mistake of assuming that Lucifer and Satan are one and the same when in fact, as the early Christians knew they are two entirely different entities. On the one hand Lucifer offers fantastic illusions and deceptive illumination; when that palls however Ahriman steps forward with solid materiality, the sort of thing that that enables you to feel grounded in physical reality. The two figures are different yet whilst they may appear at odds with each other they are in fact mutually compatible. In effect the one inevitably complements the other; so while one pushes the other pulls and together they both move you further from the light.
Thus when you tire of one and turn away, the other is waiting to catch your attention.
Just like the modern media in fact; when you tire of the stock market index or scientific reports just change channels and watch some entertaining Steven Spielberg fantasy instead. It's the same thing, or at least the same principle at work.
Indeed much in the modern world operates on exactly the same principle. Thus the debates and supposed differences between the various political parties are no more than a charade; they are simply a ruse to further extend the principle of "divide and rule." Once again employing the principle of deception to full effect.
Or to quote the American Bankers Magazine of 1924: "By dividing the voters through the political party system we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no real importance."
Thus it's no exaggeration to say that much in this world is founded on illusion.
To break that power we simply have to wake up to the fact that it is based on delusion; which is not to say that it does not possess real power, it does but it is ultimately based on the authority of appearances, nothing more. You may remember that when you were a child bigger kids tried to push you around or play tricks on you. But as you grew you learned to think for yourself and look after yourself too. So the bigger children stopped tying to fool you or push you around. Well the same thing is happening with humanity, this is our coming of age when we learn to start thinking for ourselves. And one of the first steps is to recognise what is real and what is not.
