1) The 'Jews' (mostly Ashkenazi coming from Asia) settling now in 'Palastine' since the Balfour Declaration went into effect have a Talmud. It's called the 'Babylonian Talmud', because its main parts were put together there in Babylon some 5,000 years ago.
2) Interestingly the Palestines have a Talmud too: The 'Palestine Talmud'...
So this concludes for me more towards an 'infight' among 'brothers'...
The Sephardic Jews (Northafrica, Spain) would even seem to have more hereditary 'rights' - although never truely interested in demanding them. They always had GOOD RELATIONS with their Arab neighbours.
The 'real' descendants of Abraham - 'The Mosaic People' - are to be found in Syria, Turkey and Iraq today. They are called the Aramaeic people and their 'tribes' have spread throughout the world as well...
Histo(e)rical 'claims' derived from mystical 'godgiven rights' are always bogus and fuel only backgrounds of GREED, EGOMANISM and NO-LEDGE. If you have NO facts anymore you search for 'deus ex machina' - the 'fabricated' Gods 'on purpose'. Remember the parable of Esau and Jakob from the Bible. This story describes the whole situation well. Taking by cheating...
Constructing nonreproducable lines of 'heritage' reminds me of a flip-flap of a lawer (LOWER) trying to produce evidence for his accused client based on some manmade 'rights' serving a wellknown purpose.
Religion and believes are definitely a personal thing and by no means playgrounds for deriving rights, demanding benefits and blaming others...
