Godfrey de Boullion was known as a very pious man, he was also
ruthless & savage in battle. There are stories of him, whilst on the 1st crusade, going off into to the night to find & wrestle with a lion whose roar he had just heard. In battle though, in terms of command, he deffered, as did the other leaders, to Bohemond of Taranto(later Antioch).
