The questions you are asking are the same ones I asked myself about four years ago. It requires a certain change of mental gears to realize that, yes, we are consistently lied to on a regular basis by the government and the major media. But it is un undeniable fact that we are.

In addition to UFOs, the lies cover subjects like the shooting down of TWA flight 800 (see the work of Commander Donaldson for clear proof that missiles were involved), the Oklahoma City bombing (General Partin's report proves that Timothy McVeigh's truck bomb could not possibly have caused the damage that occurred), the assasination of John Kennedy (photographic evidence shows that Oswald was on the ground floor of the Texas School Book Depository at the time of the shooting, not at the sixth floor window), and many other incidents.

But realizing that the official versions of recent historical events are false is one thing; determining what the true versions are is something else. I urge you to keep an open mind, and to continue "to try and analyse and understand what REALLY goes on in the world", not "as we are shown it to be" but rather as it really is.

Don't believe every conspiracy theory that you hear. Obviously, some sort of "conspiracy" exists - that is, some motivating factor must lie behind the lies that are told on our "news" media. But what the motivations are is not terribly clear at this point. In a general sense, I am sure that the purpose is to somehow protect, and increase, the power which is held by the powerful. But I am very skeptical about supposed plans to implement martial law or take other such dramatic steps, and am likewise skeptical about the supposed numbered "Factions" (1, 2, 3, 4...) that are said to be fighting behind the scenes of our government. For one thing, just who is supposed to have assigned these faction numbers?

It would be nice if a truly independent news media existed in some country, that would seek honestly to answer the questions about what is going on, without being part of anyone's political agenda. Unfortunately, people who actively try to expose the truth often wind up dead. In just the last month or so, we saw the death of Carlos Ghigliotti, who apparently had figured out what really happpened at Waco. And this past week or so, there were two attempts on the life of Barry Chamish, who has been trying to expose the truth about the murder of Yitzhak Rabin in Israel.

In short, the world is a dangerous and confusing place. Never forget that, but never stop trying to make some sense out of it.
