Clinton to Meet With Barak on Sidelines of European Meeting

LISBON, Portugal (AP) - President Clinton will take time out of a European summit to discuss Middle East peace with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak when the two leaders are in Berlin later this week, the White House announced today.

They will meet on Thursday, said White House spokesman Joe Lockhart. Barak had planned a visit to Washington two weeks ago, but skipped the trip after violence in Palestinian-controlled lands and heavy fighting in south Lebanon.

"Both the president and the prime minister believe it is important for them to meet at this time to discuss prospects for reaching an Israeli-Palestinian framework agreement...and assess the situation following Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon," Lockhart said in a statement issued in Lisbon, where Clinton arrived today for the first stop on a week-long visit to Europe.

On Thursday, Clinton is scheduled to participate in a summit with Barak and

other world leaders in Berlin. The summit on "third way" politics seeks alternatives to the traditional liberal and conservative approaches to government.

White House officials earlier held out the possibility of a Clinton-Barak meeting during the summit, and Barak talked to the president by phone on Saturday.

The canceled Washington visit had been planned as part of the United States' effort to smooth peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian people.

Barak skipped it after violence in Palestinian-controlled lands and heavy fighting in south Lebanon. Israel withdrew its forces from southern earlier this month after an 18-year occupation.

On a related Middle East peace matter, Clinton was unable to resume the sidetracked negotiations between Israel and Syria in a head-to-head meeting with Syrian President Hafez Assad in Geneva last month.

According to the content of the last email from Rumor Mill, Clinton made a deal with Barak to release Pollard. This is unacceptable to a powerful faction in the spy community because of the operatives that Pollard is alleged to have betrayed, so the message contends.

Northrop and Migdall states Pollard's dad is head of the biological research department at Notre Dame. Pollard was assigned to the division of intelligence that monitors technological matters related to biological warfare agents in the CIA. Their theory is Pollard warned Israel that Iraq was using pathogens (contagious microplasms) in the Gulf War. This is why U. S. troops came home sick with the Gulf War syndrome, and Israel is uninfected.

These microplasms are genetically altered bacteria that can be transmitted by human contact, and/or by touching anything physically that is carrying them, as well as getting infected through the air. The U. S. government knows there is a growing epidemic in the general population and refuses to acknowledge its existence for political and economic reasons. To date according to their research, 20,000 service men and women have died, and 200,000+ are infected.

Hospital administrators are compromised by the government if they become aware that some patients are diagnosed with this disease. Therefore, the patients are given the wrong treatments. Families, hearth care providers, support staff, and the public remain at risk.

The way this reads, it makes Pollard look like a hero. Could this be the beginning of a Pollard white wash so that the American people will think he is a hero and demand that he be freed?

Or is this just being thrown in to muddy the waters and divert the debate from what Pollard really did to Gulf War Syndrome? Whatever it is trying to do -- it smells fishy to me.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could trust our government and our media when they tell us something?
