I just called MDC -- I asked the guard if I could find out how one of their prisoners, who is in solitary confinement is.

He put me on hold for a while. Their music is very loud, but it keeps you awake!!

The guard came back and told me there is no way I can talk to a prisoner or be told anything about one.

I informed the guard -- in a soft voice -- that I was very worried about him because he almost died the last time he was in Solitary confinement. The guard assured me this wouldn't happen.

I told him that I have been following Les's case, as have millions of other people all around the world, and I am very concerned that something might happen to him. I asked if I could speak to the doctors or nurses to be sure Les is getting his medication.

I was put on hold again -- the music was just as loud. I was told that the nurses are on their rounds and that I needed to call back on Tuesday and talk to the Health Supervisor. I asked for the name and was told, Mr. Hernandez.

Please keep calling MDC over this long weekend. From personal experience with the political prison system -- long weekends are used in nafarious ways.

I'm phoning through to the prison now from Sweden. I am being held on the line, which is expensive. The guard wanted a reference number. I am going to have to hang up, as this is now over five minutes of waiting.

I hung up. And phoned again. The guard said that it has not been established that he is there. He has been trying to locate him. "Can I phone you back in five minutes?" I asked. "Sure." I will do that.

I do hope that Les is freed soon,
