Les has been in touch with Raye to ask that we attempt to contact the media — newspapers, radio stations, cable, network TV, etc. — with his story. She has already sent Fox News an email. I will condense it and post it in "press release" form so that anyone on this list can zip it out. Look for that tomorrow.

Meantime, I've copied an email that I sent to Amnesty Int'l (London) today. Amnesty, by now, has info mailed previously, so the following serves as an update. But it's a vitally important update.

I'm asking you to send it from your email address to the Amnesty address below. Just key in your name at the bottom, cut, paste and send. Have a friend do the same. This is RUDE I know. Terribly rude. It isn't nice to load a mailbox with the same message. But I don't know how else to get them to send a letter to Platt. We must let the feds know they are being observed with regard to Les.

If you'd prefer, alter the letter a bit to reflect your own perspective. Title your message URGENT: LES COLEMAN or something similar.

Bless you for helping. By the way, Dr. Harvey Berman called today with the news that if Les is incarcerated by Platt, he has a right to request that he not be sent to the same prison where he nearly died. My hope is that we can apply enough pressure to have him released. That depends on all of us.

This is to update you on the status of Les Coleman, the American whistleblower who provided testimony on the Pan Am 103 case that is now being effectively suppressed.

Coleman is currently being held at the Frankin County jail in Frankfurt,

Kentucky (502-875-7398) awaiting transport by jet to the courtroom of Judge Thomas Platt of Uniondale, New York. He is scheduled to be brought before Platt on Thursday (4/20).

Platt is the same US District Court judge who found Coleman guilty of five counts of perjury for the affidavit Coleman provided re: the Pan Am

103 downing. Coleman is attempting to appeal that verdict, alleging that

his plea of guilty was made under extreme duress.

It’s obvious hat Mr. Coleman poses no threat whatsoever to the public. However, I believe the federal prison system poses a huge threat to his health and well-being. In the months preceding his conviction in Platt's

courtroom, Mr. Coleman nearly died due to the prison’s neglect of a malignant growth and infection on his chest. The inhumane treatment he suffered was criminal, in my opinion, which is shared by Harvey Berman, M.D./Ph.D., a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the New York

College of Medicine, who testified in Mr. Coleman’s behalf in Platt's courtroom in 1997.

Platt has a deplorable record with regard to human rights/constitutional
