FALLING NASDAQ MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THE CANCELLATIONS --OPINION BY JACK

Jack presents another possible reason for Reno, Gore and the congressional cancellations. I think he might have hit on something. Remember James Carville's slogan? "It's the economy, stupid!" In other words, anything Clinton, Reno and crowd do is okay while people are making money off their tech stocks.

But recent reports have stated that many people who have borrowed money on their credit cards, mortgaged their houses and otherwise borrowed money to invest in the market, have recently lost everything and are waiting for the banks to foreclose.

Will these people be willing to look the other way if this administration tries another Waco or OKC? Remember -- it's the economy, stupid -- and the "stupid" will turn on Clinton in an instant if they feel he hs caused them to lose all their wealth.

Someone recently told me about an article that was written about Alan Greenspan which postulates that history will show that he was the worst thing that has ever happened to the world economy. Does anyone know how to get this article?

: WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House has canceled a April 14-20 U.S.
: congressional trade mission to China, administration officials said on
: Thursday.
: Commerce Secretary William Daley had planned to lead the delegation as part
: of a White House effort to round up votes in Congress for a landmark trade
: agreement with China.

: But several lawmakers who were expected to join Daley on the trip dropped
: out at the last minute, forcing the White House to call off the mission, the
: officials told Reuters.

: The White House still plans to take a delegation of U.S. lawmakers to China
: starting April 24. That mission is expected to be led by Daley, as well as
: Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman, administration officials said.

: The mission starting April 14 was scrapped after U.S. union leaders said
: they would target lawmakers who took part in the White House-sponsored
