If Peggy Noonan is attempting to appear credible as a critic of Hillary Clinton, why would she intentionally muss her hair right before taking the podium to make a televized speech? This is what she did at her April 3rd, 2000, speech on "her" book, "The Case Against Hillary Clinton," broadcast on C-SPAN.

Before she went on, Noonan's hair was parted in the middle and looked good. Then, just seconds before she gets up to go to the podium, as she is being introduced, she makes like she is scratching her head. Then she pushes a great mass of hair from the right side of her part, over to the left, across her part--that is, she pushes it the wrong way, not once, not twice, but three or four times, until of sizable clump of her hair is flopped over the wrong way.

Her hair stays this way as she begins to speak, then slowly the hair lies down, so that you might not even notice it.

Strange to me. When I go to "groom" my hair with my hands in expectation of being seen, I always try to make the hair go the right way. Don't you? Would you ever push your hair the wrong way and then walk out in front of a crowd? No. It doesn't make sense.

This woman doesn't look down to earth, either.

Spook? Controlled opposition?

I wonder, whenever there is any highly visible public criticism of the evil powers that be, why is there still the scent of evil in the air, coming from the direction of the "critic"? Another example would be Jesse Helms' "criticism" of the U.N.

There is a new rule as far as I am concerned: preachers to the choir--those who say things to which we say, yeah, yeah--are not to be trusted. Do not let these preachers lull you into thinking your voice is being heard. If you haven't spoken, then your voice hasn't been heard. Same thing with the WTO-Seattle protests and the upcoming IMF-Washington protests. Do not let others stand in for you, and what you know should be done.
