Oh yes, and one more thing. I saw Alan Keyes speak in San Antonio on March 11, 2000. One of the things he talked about was the Kosovo war. He said that it set a bad precedent. Mr. Keyes asked, if the international armies can be used to invade any sovereign nation to put down any sort of ethnic conflict that is going on, what makes us Americans think that it can't happen to us?

Mr. Keyes said that we have ethnic tension right here in America. He referred to our unchecked illegal Mexican immigration. He said of us Texans, "you people are on the front line." He said he saw the possibility of international troops being used against Americans to put down strife, perhaps with the cooperation of our own government.

I was utterly struck by these comments of Mr. Keyes'. I have NEVER heard a politician, especially a presidential candidate, speak this way.

Of course, Alan Keyes' ideas reflect my own thinking precisely, but I have listened to all of his speeches, and I have never before heard him make this connection between global totalitarianism and Mexican immigration into the U.S. Perhaps he was reserving these politically explosive ideas for the small, private, local audience that we had there in San Antonio that night.

Alan Keyes is not a kook. Alan Keyes is one of the wisest men to come down the political pipe in a long time. He is sounding the alarm for America. Are you going to ignore him? Are you going to ignore your own feelings?
