GUIDELINES FOR LETTERS TO THE JUDGE AND NEWSPAPERS
RE: LES COLEMAN
LETTERS MUST ARRIVE IN LEXINGTON BEFORE SENTENCING WHICH IS APRIL 10TH
RMNews Aptos, CA I just got off the telephone with the lawyer for Les Coleman. I now have the information we need to start our letter writing campaign.
Les has been convicted. We can't get the verdict changed, but we can appeal to the human compassion of the Judge. Les Coleman is the sole support for his children, who are currently in foster care. If he is not released, his children will remain in foster care in Lexington.
I was married to a man, Gunther Russbacher, who was set up, in an almost identical way, to the way in which Les Coleman was set up. This tactic is common within government circles. It is often used on whistle blowers. However, if you have not studied government crimes and corruption, and if you are not familiar with these tactics, the whole show seems like a James Bond movie.
A prosecutor who is worth his salt, is capable of winning these cases with one utterance. Gunther, Les, and dozens of other whistle blowers, have had their reputations destroyed with one simple word: CONMAN
The moment the prosecutor utters that word, he has won his case. When a prosecutor smears you with the word CONMAN, nothing you can do will remove the smear in the jury's mind. No matter how much evidence you produce to prove your case, the CONMAN stain remains.
Imagine throwing a plate of spaghetti at a white wall. At first the wall is covered with red sauce and spaghetti. After a little while, all the spaghetti falls away but the red tomato-sauce stain remains... just like the stain of being called a conman.
When writing letters to the Judge, do not argue the case. The case has been lost .... for now. Concentrate on human compassion. Les Coleman must be set free.... for the sake of his children. Remember FOR THE CHILDREN!
When writing to the Judge, please adhere to these guidelines:
DO NOT INSULT THE JUDGE
DO NOT THREATEN THE JUDGE
DO NOT CALL THE JURY UNEDUCATED HILLBILLYS
DO NOT BRING UP THE INTELLIGENCE/PAN AM 103 CONNECTION THE JURY DIDN'T BUY IT.
MAKE THE LETTER SHORT
HANDWRITTEN LETTERS ARE EXCELLENT MAYBE EVEN BETTER

The Honorable Judge Thomas Clark Fayette County Circuit Court 215 West Main Street Lexington ,KY 40507
Dear Judge Clark,
I am writing on behalf of Lester Coleman, his wife and three children. Mr. Coleman was recently convicted in your court and comes before you on April 10, for sentencing.
Mr. Coleman is the sole support of his three children. His wife is physically and mentally not capable of working or caring for the children. At the moment the three Coleman children are in foster care in Kentucky.
Mr. Coleman is 56 years old. His health has suffered during his incarceration. As the doctor testified during the trial, Mr. Coleman was brutalized while in federal custody.
The Coleman children need their father at home so they can be a family once again. Mr. Coleman already has a job lined up and will be able to support his family. For his children's sake, be assured that he will successfully complete any probation or parole.
On behalf the his children, I ask that you think about them as you pass sentence on Les Coleman. Having a father in jail is a nightmare for a child. But having a father in jail, a mother who can no longer care for you, and being placed in a foster home, is something that you and I can't begin to imagine.
Please remember the Coleman children, Sarah, Josh and Chad, on April 10th and send their father home to them.
Respectfully,
Rayelan Allan P.O. Box 1784 Aptos, CA 95001

Dear Mr. Gil,
I'm writing today to request that your paper look into the charges against, trial and conviction of Lester Coleman. The trial took place this week in Lexington. I am forwarding some information I received about the matter. Referenced in the forwarded material is an email I sent to the Managing Editor of the Lexington Herald-Leader. If the Louisville Courier-Journal has any information answering the questions I've asked in my email to Mr. Eblen, I would be most grateful if you'd share it with all your readers in the form a documented, investigative article.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and consider this material,
Sincerely

Dear Editor;
I am another of the thousands of people upset about the case of Les Coleman. I read his book and the book by Bill Chasey and I saw the video the Maltese Double Cross. It appears crystal clear what happens to whistle blowers these days who have enemies on high. Please do what you can to draw attention to this case. And remember, I heard about your on-line newspaper because of this case.
I support Les Coleman.

Dear Mr. Eblen,
Thank you for reporting on the Coleman story.
I'm writing today to ask that you run yet another Coleman story that provides information about the Defense arguments in this case rebutting or responding to the prosecution's evidence.
Also, could you provide information as to why Coleman's job at WLXG ended - was it some conflict about Coleman's style, subject matter, relationship with management or was it part of a long planned format change. If it was a format change, was the decision unusual by WLXG standards or industry standards?
I'm also interested in Coleman's work as a private investigator. Was Coleman self-employed? Did he contract for various agencies, and if so, what other agencies? What sort of investigations did Coleman conduct?
Finally, about Mr. Coleman's children in foster care - are they being kept together, or were they separated? Did the Colemans have any say as to where and with whom the children were placed? Will the children be allowed to visit their father and will those visits transportation, etc. - be facilitated by the Commonwealth?
Any follow-up reporting about the Coleman case will be much appreciated.
Sincerely,

You can also write a letter to Lexington Herald Leader asking why Lester Coleman is being held in such draconian conditions:
No fresh air for 6 weeks --- lights on 24 hours a day -- poor diet, extreme overcrowded conditions,--- people sleeping on floor --- inadequate medical care at the Fayette County Detention Center.

This was sent to RMNews by a friend of the Coleman family in Lexington:
In an early round in Les Coleman's war against the Lexington police, a cop made an ethnic slur in open court.
Detective Chris White told the court he seized Coleman's briefcase because of Coleman's U.S. Intelligence background and "his wife was Lebanese."
"There could have been anything in that bag, including a bomb," White declared.
Coleman blew the whistle on a U.S. government operation that was comprised, allowing a bomb aboard Pan Am 103. 270 people died. Coleman was with the Defense Intelligence Agency in the Middle East.
His wife, Mary-Claude, is a Christian Lebanese, naturalized U.S. citizen who has worked for the USIA, FCIS in Cyprus, for CBS news Beirut, NBC Paris, and the U.S. District Court as a translator.
White's prejudicial remarks reflect the ignorant bigotry that still permeates the hills of Eastern Kentucky in the 21st Century.
Coleman has been held in the Fayette Count Jail almost 8 months - arrested while investigating Lexington Police. He is set to testify in the Pan Am 103 case in May.

From Rayelan, Publisher RMNews:
I have written so much about Les's case, that I think everyone who gets my e-mails knows everything there is to know about Les Coleman.
Today I received an e-mail from a reader stating that he had no idea what Coleman was convicted of. I have incorporated the reply I sent to him in this letter.
Les Coleman was convicted of check fraud.
Les Coleman is a former DIA (not DEA) agent. He is the man who wrote the book, "Trail of the Octopus". In the book, he pointed out that the DEA had a drug-sting operation going on using Pan Am airlines.
Here are the links to stories about this from the RMNews webpage
RMNews - CIA Classified Document Links Pan Am 103 Bomb to Iran
http://rumormillnews.com/pam1.htm
"....the report describes an Iranian government hierarchy plotting with Palestinian terrorist, Ahmed Jibril. Pan Am investigator, Juval Aviv says Iran paid Jibril $10 million dollars to bring down a United States airliner. Jibril did it by infiltrating a United States drug running operation from Beirut Cyprus Frankfurt London to Detroit. The United States DEA regularly put Lebanese informants on United States bound flights carrying heroin to entrap stateside drug dealers.
DEA, FBI and CIA agents ruthlessly denied a United States Government operation was compromised. Instead, they pointed a finger at Libya. But all the time the CIA/FBI's 7 page report confirmed it was Jibril and Iran not Libya that set off the bomb which killed 270 people."
Iran paid Jibril because they wanted to get even with the United States for the Iranian Airliner that the Navy shot down.
Because of Coleman's DIA background and being stationed in Nicosia at the DEA office, he had first hand knowledge of a compromised DEA drug operation. The terrorist, Jabril, who was paid by Iran, placed the bomb on board Pan Am 103 --- Not the Libyans who are being tried for the bombing.
When the trial was set for February of this year, Les Coleman, who was working as the host of a radio show in Lexington, Kentucky, decided to go to Europe to cover the case. He arranged press credentials and put out a call to friends to help him raise the money he needed to make the trip, as well as provide for his family.
At the same time that Coleman was getting ready to go to Europe, he was investigating the Lexington Police Department as a private investigator.
Some of the checks that were sent to him came from the private school in Spain that his children attended. These checks were used to pay his rent and other expenses. The fraud charges arise from these checks. In the early days of Coleman's arrest, the Federal government was involved. But when the fact the Coleman was investigating the local police came out, the Federal Government no longer felt they needed to stay around.
According to both Les and his lawyer, Mike Meehan, at the trial, the prosecutor presented no evidence against Les. Instead he used raw emotion and set up a scenario which pitted the local jury against the evil stranger.
When Les testified at an earlier hearing, that DEA agents were responsible for setting up the drug line that allowed a bomb to be placed on board Pan Am 103, he was charged with perjury. (This is the same tactic that the Federal Government used to try to silence Richard Brenneke. Brenneke fought his case and won.) Coleman decided that instead of remaining in jail and possibly getting convicted, he would plea bargain.
Coleman was placed on 500 hours of community service. He performed these 500 hours working for the World Service Human Rights Group in Washington DC.
The Prosecutor, in his closing arguments, told the jury that Mr. Coleman is a privileged gentleman who gets let off with light sentences. The prosecutor told the jury that if any of them had been sentenced to community service, they wouldn't be performing it in Washington DC, and getting paid for it --- they would be out on the road picking up cigarette butts.
Both Les and his lawyer feel the prosecutor's twisted emotional closing set up a scenario of "the privileged outsider" versus "the down trodden local".
Whether or not the checks were bad has never been proved. They were written on an offshore account. That in itself could have made them appear to be bogus to a bank in Lexington.
I have been the victim of our government's "bad check" charges. I deposited $7.000 from my husband, Gunther's, Canadian account in my checking account. Almost nine months later, my bank sent me a letter stating that the Canadian checks were no good. I was threatened with fraud charges.
What was going on in my life at that time? My husband, a CIA operative who was part of the October Surprise, was in jail waiting to be sentenced. As part of the deal for him to plead guilty, the check charges against me, as well as trespassing on a military reservation, were dropped. To keep me from going to prison, my husband accepted a plea agreement.
In my husband's case, part of the charges against him were two checks that totaled about $2500. When we finally won our appeal and were able to get copies of the checks, we found out the bank had paid them over five years before!
From all the other whistle blower cases I have followed, I know the technique used on Coleman and Gunther is a common one. It is evident to everyone who has studied the Coleman case, that he was thrown in jail to keep him from testifying at the trial of the Libyans.
The attorneys for the Libyans came to Lexington last week and took Mr. Coleman's testimony. Hopefully this tactic has short circuited anymore attempts to keep him from attending the trial. If his testimony is going to be introduced at the trial, there is no need for him to go, therefore there is no need for our government to create a scenario, ie, prison --- that prevents him from going to Europe.
I am sure that my account is not completely accurate from a legal standpoint --- I am not a lawyer. If you need the exact facts for an article or a radio show, please contact Les Coleman's lawyer, Mike Meehan He is willing to do radio shows.
