The Raytheon plant in Elizabethton, Tennessee has been burning fiercly since late Friday afternoon. All local residents were evacuated due to the toxic/chemical smoke; many are ill. People identifying themselves as "plainclothes" police officers and flashing a quick badge have been confiscating private citizens' video tapes if it's believed they recorded any of the event (it should be noted that in an extremely small town with a total police force of 22 these fake cops do NOT "blend"). Most ISPs in East Tennessee and Southwest Virgina were shut down from late Friday afternoon until late yesterday. Even local coverage is heavily "spun" and all news footage (precous little) is shot from quite a distance away. Several Med Evac helicopters were seen on Friday lifting people out and headed away from the plant due south...However, there are no major hospitals in that direction and phone calls to surrounding hospitals inquiring of peoples status turned up no bodies. Help has been turned down from all local fire departments with the clain that "it is all under control". Yet the fire is expected to burn all weekend as "there is little water to battle the flames"...hmmmm, the Watauga River is located less than a mile away.

Raytheon is a huge DOD contract firm with two Raytheon "sub" facilities within a 25 mile radius of the Elizabethton location: Erwin Nuclear Fuel Industries and Eastman Chemical Co. Although they made a show of laying off all local employees approximately 5 years ago and saying they were shutting down, activity at the plant was always as strong as ever. They ran 3 shifts, 24-hrs a day, of no less than 150 personnel per shift.

Was this a Black Op gone bad? Was it a classified op/experiment that they needed to burn their tracks on? Is it something to do with Al Gore and the proximity of the upcoming Presidential race? There are a lot of questions surrounding WHY there should be a strict news blackout on this. Let me assure you -- we have been checking the wires, if anything appears "prior dated" at this point, it was planted after the fact.

Anyone out there have any ideas? Those of you who have been with this forum from the beginning last year, may remember that we briefly talked about this very area and company -- as I recall the string of conversation had something to do with "The Trail of Tears".
