I have increasingly been subject to niggling ideas lately, the kind that won't go away and, as such, I am bound to give them attention. It has been my experience, in the past and increasingly of late, that these ideas represent lines of enquiry I should follow and, in keeping with the principles of synchronicity, once pursued, there unfolds an enlightening series of connections between seemingly unconnected data, to provide a new way of looking at an existing problem.
Such has been the case this week and it follows on from my last posting ("Division Within The Elite"). It seems I am being introduced to information that is most important and relevant to the mission of RMN, or at least, I am being given ideas that are worth sharing. So I am allowing this to unfold in its own time and will pass on these ideas as they become clear enough to be communicated. I do not claim that what I write is entirely new, nor am I presumptuous in thinking I have somehow solved the puzzle of our current experiences. But I am putting out these thoughts and, as always, welcome comments and additional thoughts.
The data I have been drawn to this week comes largely from a book entitled "Thinking For A Change" By Michael J. Gelb. Primarily, it is a book aimed at providing people with the tools to maximise the use and function of their brains and minds, to better equip themselves to deal with the ever increasing pace of change going on around us. He covers the left/right brain attributes in some detail and then goes on to introduce a term called "Synvergent Thinking", a mode of mental operation representing the combined use of both sets of attributes:
"Convergent (left-brained) thinking is focused, analytical, detailed. It is the primary mode for balancing your chequebook, copyediting a manuscript or pruning a tree. Divergent (right-brained) thinking is diffuse, free-flowing and imaginative. It is the primary mode for spontaneous humour, brainstorming and free association. Synvergent thinking is the synergetic combination of convergent and divergent thinking. It is the primary mode for thriving with change, ambiguity and paradox. This kind of thinking has always been associated with genius".
Not exactly a new idea in itself, although the book goes on to provide some very stimulating methods and practices for achieving this synvergent state. What caught my eye and set me thinking was the introduction to the book.
Gelb talks in his introduction about the "triune brain", a model postulated by Dr. Paul McLean, of the National Institute of Mental Health. I expect many of you have heard of the evolutionary layers our brains are said to possess, from the Reptilian through the Mammalian to the Human, the neocortex. What I found so fascinating was the attributes of each, as described by Dr. McLean:
"The reptilian brain is the source of our pecking order behaviours as well as our tendencies toward turf definition, defence, ritualism and stereotyped automatic reactions.....it manifests in slavish conformity to routine and old ways of doing things, personal day-to-day rituals and superstitious acts, obeisance to precedence as in legal and other matters, ceremonial reenactment and all manner of deception"
This has a kind of familiar ring to it, does it not? Pecking orders? Ceremonial Reenactments? Deception? What does that sort of behaviour remind you of?
"The limbic or mammalian brain is the centre of our emotional being. Scientists have charted the areas of the limbic brain responsible for feelings of sexual desire, anger, elation, depression and pleasure. The limbic system also functions as the central switching station for incoming sensory data. In other words, it plays a key role in deciding what information is passed up to the most evolved segment of the brain, the neocortex."
We have seen the process described in that last sentence being fully exploited, particularly in recent months. And clearly NOT to our benefit.
"The cerebral cortex consists of the left and right hemispheres and the nerve network between them, the corpus callosum. This is the realm of consciousness, abstract thinking, planning, analysis, synthesis and imagination. The evolution of our cerebral cortex provides what brain researcher Dr. Richard Restak describes as 'the only example in existence where a species was provided with an organ that it still has not learned how to use'
"The development of the cerebral cortex makes it possible for us to plan for the needs of others as well as ourselves. It is the seat of altruism. By creating a creature with the capacity to have concern for all living things, 'nature' McLean writes, 'accomplished a 180-degree turnabout from what had previously been a reptile-eat-reptile and dog-eat-dog world'"
"Altruism is our destiny and our salvation. Yet most attempts to live altruistically founder on the uncontrolled, unconscious reflexes of the repressed repto-mammalian self"
Note that last sentence well.
Gelb then provides a particularly interesting example of how this model of the brain manifests itself in two distinct ways. These are the terms created by philosopher and mathematician, J.G. Bennett:
"The psycho-static mind sees change as a threat. It rejects the unknown and avoids ambiguity. This mind believes that the past determines the future, and seeks to justify its own status quo. It is motivated by fear and resists innovation, creative tension, and new ways of thinking.
"Alternatively, the psycho-kinetic mind recognises the ever-changing nature of existence, and reconciles that awareness with a sense of a changeless fundamental core. This mind embraces chaos creatively, recognises that the present creates the future, and welcomes the unknown. It is self-reflective and seeks the truth, however uncomfortable it may be. The psycho-kinetic mind sees change as a promise"
In those two paragraphs, we see the division of mankind, as it exists now, and as it has for centuries. We can see how the psycho-static mind has been the norm, still is the norm in a huge percentage of the world's population.
Why?
Because the maintenance of the the psycho-static mind has been systematically enforced, by the handful of individuals known as the ruling elite. They know, and have always known, man's true evolutionary birthright. They know what we are capable of, have been capable of for centuries. They have deprived us and are still depriving us.
But things are changing and the elite don't like it.
I think we have a preponderance of psycho-kinetic thinkers on RMN! Not just here, but in growing numbers everywhere. But, this is the crucial point, we are all, to a greater or lesser extent, victims of our more "primitive brains". This is the key to the elite's manipulation on a grand scale. Exploit this to the full and you will maintain control.
The elite know and understand our physiology. They KNOW where to hit us, they ruthlessly control our repto-mammalian brains, with endless assaults on our mammalian emotional centres, through carefully contrived and repeated emotive images and words. They continue to evoke our reptilian traits, through patriotic calls, emphasis on territorial rights and through suggestions that we must remain loyal to authority figures.
This has worked very well. It has very effectively suppressed the 'higher functions' of so many. Yet, at the same time, they make superficial appeals to these altruistic higher functions through the 'one world' notion they promote, through the false humanitarian acts they are supposedly responsible for.
It doesn't take too much synvergent thinking to realise all this is a monstrous lie.
What sickens me the most has been the completely over-the-top emotional manipulation of recent weeks. It seems that we will now be subject to an all-out assault on our evolved capability to actually be able to deal with the world of ever faster growing complexity. I can only conclude that the elite have allowed the incredible pace of change to occur, knowing full well that our brains are evolved enough to deal with it but, at the same time, knowing that they can very effectively deny us the use of this capability. The gap between our perceived and our true capability has become ever wider and the resultant stress has created a sizeable and growing population dependent on brain-altering drugs. The good old problem-reaction-solution again. Create the problem in the first place and then provide the solution in the form of drugs.
This leads me on to another niggle that has been bothering me for weeks. The news in early August that the drug Prozac is now to be produced in generic form, on a cheaper and more widely available basis, kind of rang alarm bells for me in the light of September events. Obviously, there has been a sharp rise in the use of anti-anxiety and anti-depressant drugs since then, notably in the States.
It has been my experience that the prescription of such drugs has been a poor substitute for a clear explanation and proper understanding of the physiology of fear and depression. This effectively creates a sizeable number of people who rely heavily on these drugs merely to function reasonable well, or even to function at all.
What would happen to these people if, for whatever reason, their supply was suddenly withdrawn or curtailed?
Speaking as someone who has had first-hand experience of coming off anti-depressants many years ago, the effect can be terrifying. These drugs in particular are designed to take some weeks to have any effect and likewise, when stopped or cut back on, this has to be done very, very slowly.
Here is another cruel trick the elite could use. How hard would it be for them to suddenly announce that there are dangers in the use of certain drugs, through a series of plausible sounding "research findings", suggesting people should no longer be taking them or should take an alternative, which would be a very convenient alternative with more far-reaching effects on our capabilities? Perhaps this is a rather far-fetched notion. But, again, I cannot see any other reason why such widespread use of such powerful drugs has been allowed unless it represented yet another tool for manipulation.
But, here is the good news, some of us are learning how to think!!
Here is where the elite are coming unstuck. Some of us are learning to understand our OWN physiology, some of us are learning how to USE our "early brains", rather than have them use us. Some of us are capable of synvergent thinking of a very high order. Some of us our using this advanced physiology to reconnect with our source, to understand our relationship to the whole. Some of us have seen through the appalling lies.
So far, I have attempted to describe the physiology we are ALL endowed with. This is NOT an attempt to reduce all human nature to physiological terms but is merely to show the 'hardware' we have at our disposal, the use of which has, as I have described above, been systematically repressed.
But we ARE expanding our use of our brains/minds, in spite of the elite's best efforts. It could be argued that they are fully aware of all this and that it all forms part of their carefully considered plans.
As I have said before, I do not accept that they are infallible. Although their planning and organisation is remarkably efficient and effective, they display, as I mentioned in my last post, a strong left-brain bias. Their biggest shortcomings are their arrogance and complacency. They are obviously fully convinced that they can predict our behaviour so accurately, can manipulate us in their tried and trusted ways so easily, that they can continue to do this indefinitely. I discussed in my last post how it seems we are all likely to be subject to a global shift in awareness and capability, with the year 2012 being suggested as the most likely time. Between now and that date, we are likely to see a steady unfolding of the complete domination and subjugation of humanity by the elite.
Unless we learn to exploit THEIR weaknesses. Unless we learn to fully exploit our own strengths. Unless we so effectively come to terms with our own darkness within, that the darkness without loses its power over us.
This area will be the subject of further posts as this line of enquiry unfolds. I do not yet know the answers but I suspect it will be a case of beating them at their own game.
I do not accept that the elite have anticipated everything. I do not accept that they fully appreciate the extent of our synvergent thinking capabilities. I DO accept that we have it in our power to put a dent in their smugness.
RM News is a perfect example of synvergent thinking in action, where seemingly unconnected data are linked in meaningful and insightful ways, where new ideas are presented to explain existing facts and events. Those who come here to read will have their own synvergent thinking capabilities stimulated and enhanced.
I beg to differ with Rayelan when she posted that she did not think RMN has made a scrap of difference to anything. It most definitely has, in my opinion, for the reasons just stated.
Our true evolutionary birthright is becoming stronger by the day. Our ability to create our own reality is part of that birthright and it is this area that will form the basis of my next posting.
