The primary purpose of the National Security Agency(NSA) is to gather all information that threatens the Security of the Constitution of the USA.

The major and primary means to gather this information is Project Echelon whereby NSA has the capabilities to monitor all phone calls, faxes, radio and tv signals, emails,regular mail, internet communications etc.

This watchful eye is becoming the security of the Constitution of the USA, rather the faith in the decency of the individual.

From a point of view of wisdom, I would put my trust INHERENT IN THE WORDS OF OUR CONSTITUTION not in this watchful eye. Nowhere is all the writings of the Founders did they say we needed the watchful eye of any government agency to maintain the security of the Constitution of the USA.

This agency just came into being in the 1950s, at the height of the cold war, paranoria, and is based absolutely and completely in lack of trust of the individual.

At present with the internet, its tentacles are reaching into the very fibers of our Constittuional form of government.

The misuse of NSA, by IBM, ATT, LOR, LEH, LMT and GM H. is a book in itself. The springing up of "private echelon non USA" projects throughout the world by finanical groups has invaded the privacy of all. (See a lower post about Dominica)

The more information generated is directly proportional to the amount of increased entropy in the world or chaos. Any attempt to monitor chaos leads to more chaos and surely not to the security of the Constitution of the USA.

So NSA is failling miserably in its goal and mission, and they can not talk about it because their motto is "In silence they serve".

The NSA needs a full blown Congressional open investigation about its practices and a re evaluation of its charter, and especially the misuse of Project Echelon by the multinational corporations listed above.
