US DEBT FUTURES ALERT:Rumor hedge fund unwinding

swaps/agencies

Rumores were making the rounds in the credit markets
that a large U.S. based hedge fund, thought to be
Moore Capital Managment, was unwinding a weighty
swap/agency trade. Allegedly, the fund had a $5 billion
position in agencies vs. swaps when it began to
liquidate. Other accounts subsequently got stopped
out as a number of other market participants had
on the same trade. The market became dislocated for awhile........

For 30 months now I have reported that Moore Capital
was the largest hedge fund gold carry trade short. HUGE!
They are also rumored to be heavily short silver.
Gold's surprisingly strong opening this morning
was due to "hedge fund" buying.

You might recall that Germany's Frankfurter
Allgemeine Zeitung reported many months ago that a
hedge fund with close ties to "Robert Rubin" and
Citibank received inside information about the
suprise intervention to prop up the Euro and then
capped it. Sources identified that hedge fund as Moore
Capital and that information was reported to the Cafe.

Perhaps, this the "crack in the dyke" - the beginning
of the end for The Gold Cartel - the end to one of
the most un-American, crooked and fraudulent operations in
U.S. financial history.
