China: The Coming Conflict with America.
I believe that the year of 2001 is a year which resembles 1989. We have
a second “Bush” as head of our government, economic slowdown in the U.S.,
U.S. policy struggles supporting the peace in Israel and mounting tension with
China in regard to the downed Navy aircraft a few months ago. Remember, it
was 1989 when our nation witnessed the mounting tension in Kuwait which led to
the war called “Desert Storm.” I believe this war will have lasting
effects for some time to come. Here is why…
While America was broadcasting nightly across the world our
military technology and strength, this war had a “jarring effect” on the
People’s Liberation Army of China. The war demonstrated in most graphic terms
imaginable, just how far behind the Chinese were in terms of military
technology. This was the first exposure to a high-tech war, and they
were stunned. Their shock led them to press for a rapid and expensive
modernization of China’s armed forces, including further nuclear testing and
long-range missile development. The Chinese understood that they would haveto
master the techniques demonstrated by the Americans if they were to pose
a credible threat of their own in the disputed areas of the South China Sea.
Nothing could be more important to understanding China’s goals
and self-image than its military modernization program. The official Beijing
annual defense budget of $8.7 billion compared to $265 billion spent annually
by the United States is a major deception in reported figures conducted by the
U.S. Government Information Office. The official budget has concluded that
actual spending is “at least” several times the Beijing’sofficial figure.
Whatever the exact figures, China is now engaged in one of the most
extensive and rapid military buildups in the world, one that has accelerated
in recent months even as China’s rhetoric has softened and Beijing has moved
to improve its ties with the United States in its attempt to join the World
Trade Organization.
With the largest army, navy, and airforce in Asia, China spends more
both relatively and absolutely than any of its neighbors, with the possible
exception of Japan. In short, China’s relative strength gives it the ability
to intimidate regional foes and win wars against them. If it continues its
rapid military modernization, China will soon become the only country capable
of challenging American power in East Asia — and only the United States will
have the influence to counterbalance China’s regional ascendancy.
Where did
China get the finances to gain the ability to grow in military might? The
answer is from their tactical attitude towards its relations with United
States as a so-called trading partner, where an annual trade imbalance is
approaching $84 billion! This business of allowing America to move its
factories over to their country and develop business with “cheap labor” has
allowed China to grow and expand their military by use of foreign money.
OURS!!! (Remember, it was both Republican and Democratic politicians who
worked to pass NAFTA and GATT global trade schemes that have stripped
millions of U.S. jobs.)
China has a population of 1.3 billion people and growing! The U.S. has a
population of 281 million. China could field an army larger than the United
States entire population China though economically has developed more
powerfully than any country of the world. But, China humanly speaking will
never change. Their leaders are about control. They do not want our products
or produce. Not only do we have a trade imbalance with China, but so
does Europe, Canada, Israel, and dozens of others. A large percentage of the
wealth of the world is being directed into China. Most of this wealth is
being used to elevate China into the 21st century as an economic power!
To date, America has 18 times as many nuclear missiles than does China,
but what China has many more times than the U.S. is men!
According to
Revelations 9:14-16, an army, of 200 million soldiers, will cross the
Euphrates from the East to fight at the battle of Armageddon. In Revelation
16:12, this gigantic army will belong to the “kings of the east” and advance
over a prepared way. The danger America has to face is this future China
making an alliance with the nations of the east. To date China has already
signed a trade alliance treaty with India, South Korea, Laos, Sri Lanka, and
Bangladesh. Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Nepal have indicated they will
also sign this treaty that would encompass over half the earth’s population.
As one prophet of today has stated, “we already have the Arab alliance of
nations, the revived Roman Empire of Europe, the Russian bear is growling
again, and now the “kings of the east” arising.
I believe, with DROUGHT currently raging in parts of China, it would be
wise to re-think your personal wealth portfolio and consider commodities as a
must for your portfolio. Times ahead will show that FOOD is a necessary means
for control and power… and with 1.3 billion people in one country facing a
drought, food is more important than technology when it comes down to
survival. It is an investment worth looking at!
