(Lisbon, 2001/6/1) -- The man who claims to know all about
the death of princess Diana is living in Lisbon where he is writing a book
about the case, Portuguese weekly "Independente" reveals today, 1, June
2001. Oswald Le Winter, the man who tried to sell Harrodsís owner Mohamed
Al Fayed secret CIA documents in Vienna, Austria, on April 1998, is now
living in Lisbon after two years on an Austrian prison.
On a three-pages interview - "General, professor, poeta
e espião" (General, teacher, poet and spy) -, Le Winter, who claims
to be an ex-CIA agent and has a reputation as a writer, says that "Iíve
found all about the death of Diana", explains Le Winter on todayís edition
of "Independente". He claims to have made the investigations while in prison.
During the interview Le Winter says that the ex-American
president Bill Clinton was a CIA agent who used to spy on his colleagues
at the Oxford University. He also defends that Oklahoma bomber, Timothy
McVeigh, may never be executed because he was part of a plan to destroy
evidences of a drug scandal concerning Bill Clinton..
Le Winter also makes revelations about CIA actions in
Portugal. He says that he was a member of a CIA team that came to Portugal
to prepare the 25 April 1974 coup that would overthrow the dictatorial
regime of Marcelo Caetano. That coup later became known all over the world
as a leftist coup under the name of "The Carnation Revolution": "The revolution
had to have a leftist image because nobody could suspect that the USA were
overthrowing a government of a NATO country", claims Le Winter. Also the
death of Portuguese prime-minister Francisco Sá Carneiro and his
defence minister, Adelino Amaro da Costa, on a plane crash in December,
4, 1980, as an explanation from Le Winter: "There was a ship transport
of weapons from Portugal to Iran on November, 1980. That was during the
"October Surprise" negotiation", he says.
These informations are similar to the claims made by the
families of the victimís plane crash that are still today fighting to take
the investigation case into court. Oswald Le Winter also confesses in this
interview to the Portuguese reporter Frederico Duarte that his first CIA
mission, in 1967, was to capture Che Guevara in Bolivia: "Che Guevara knew
all about the illegal oil business of George Bush with Cuba. Thatís why
Felix Rodriguez was also sent by George Bush to kill him", says Le Winter.
