Yesterday a story broke on THE DRUGE REPORT about a veteran CIA operative who has suddenly resigned from a special investigative committee. Speculation is he discovered that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden were both using a pirated software known as PROMIS to gain information on the "search" for Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.
In other words, these two men have a software program that allows them access to the most secure intelligence networks in the world!
How did they get it? Well... that isn't REALLY said in the article... but it is implied that they got it from W's father, the original BUSH!
This news is SO OLD, that I have to ask myself... WHO IS BRINGING IT UP AGAIN AND WHY??

My question still lingers. Why is this scandal being "surfaced" NOW? Who is using it to put the pressure on W. and why?
The CIA operative who resigned surely new everything there was to know about the PROMIS software... if the rest of us out here in Internet Land know the scoop about how Poppy, Saddam, Osama and PROMIS are connected... how could a top level CIA operative NOT know!!
Something stinks about this story... I don't know what it is... but I think we had better pay attention. Someone is pulling out past history, and it appears it is going to be used as a battering ram... but what, who and why are the questions. What is going to be battered, who is going to be ruined and why now?

I have posted part of the collection of PROMIS software articles below. I tried to categorize them in order of importance to the current article about the resignation of the CIA operative. I think the top one shows that most of us knew of the Osama/CIA/PROMIS connection as early as 1994, and many knew of this long before that date!
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADIN WAS TIM OSMAN

The two men headed to the Hilton Hotel in Sherman Oaks, California in the late Spring of 1986 were on their way to meet representatives of the mujahadeen, the Afghan fighters resisting the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
One of the two, Ted Gunderson, had had a distinguished career in the FBI, serving as some sort of supervisor over Special Agents in the early 60s, as head of the Dallas field office from 1973-75, and as head of the Los Angeles field office from 1977-1979. He retired to become an investigator for, among others, well-known attorney F. Lee Bailey. And all along the way, Gunderson, whether or not actually a CIA contract agent, had been around to provide services to various CIA and National Security Council operations, as he was doing now.
In more recent years Gunderson was to become controversial for his investigations into child prostitution rings, after he became convinced of the innocence of an Army medical doctor named Jeffrey McDonald, who had been convicted of the murder of his wife and three young children in the 1970s. This has led to various attempts by the patrons and operators of the child prostitution industry to smear Gunderson's reputation.
Michael Riconosciuto was there to discuss assisting the mujahadeen with MANPADs—Man Portable Air Defense Systems. Stinger missiles were one possibility. If the U.S. would permit their export, Riconosciuto could modify the Stinger's electronics, so the guided missile would still be effective against Soviet aircraft, but would not be a threat to U.S. or NATO forces.

Meeting Riconosciuto and Gunderson at the hotel were two representatives of the mujahadeen, waiting to discuss their armament needs. One of the two was named "Ralph Olberg." The other one was called Tim Osman (or Ossman).
"Ralph Olberg" was an American businesman who was leading the procurement of American weapons and technology on behalf of the Afghan rebels. He worked through the Afghan desk at the U.S. State Department, as well as through Senator Hubert Humphrey's office. Olberg looked after the Afghanis through a curious front called MSH—Management Sciences for Health.
The other man, dressed in Docker's clothing, was not a native Afghan any more than Olberg was. He was a 27-year-old Saudi. Tim Osman (Ossman) has recently become better known as Osama Bin Ladin. "Tim Osman" was the name assigned to him by the CIA for his tour of the U.S. and U.S. military bases, in search of political support and armaments.

One week after giving an affidavit to Inslaw regarding the PROMIS software in 1991, Riconosciuto was arrested on trumped-up drug charges. The Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuting the case attempted to cover up Riconosciuto's intelligence background by claiming to the jury he was "delusional." A TV station came and pointed a camera out at the desert at Cabazon and said, "Riconosciuto says he modified the PROMIS software here." Of course Riconosciuto didn't modify the software out between the cacti and yucca. Sand isn't good for computers. He did the modifications in offices in nearby Indio, California. The AUSA told reporters Riconosciuto had been diagnosed with a mental condition, the implication being "he's making all this stuff up". Yes, there had been a mental evaluation of Riconosciuto. I have a copy of the report. The diagnosis? Here it is: NO MENTAL DISORDER. The Department of Justice consistently and maliciously lied to the jury, just as had been threatened by Justice Department official Peter Viednicks if Riconosciuto cooperated with the congressional investigation of PROMIS.
If the war against Osama Bin Ladin (Tim Osman) is not a total fraud, then what is Michael Riconosciuto doing in prison? Why doesn't he have an office next to Colin Powell so he can give realistic advice on Bin Ladin's thinking? And where is Ralph Olberg?

I also wrote that the Promis back door is the way that Faction Two and Three convinced many banks to redo their software in order to patch the "back door".
The new software blocked the United States goverment and Israel from having open access to all the countries and institutions they used to spy on. But the new patch also had a back door -- the new "back door" gave Faction Two and Faction Three access to banks, justice files, and anything else that their "patch" was designed to protect.

The Octopus: Secret Government and the Death of Danny Casolaro,by Kenn Thomas and the late Jim Keith, details how the Reagan Justice Department stole PROMIS, a law enforcement software, from the firm INSLAW, and modified it to contain a "trap door." PROMIS was then sold by the government to various entities, such as foreign intelligence agencies. The trap door allowed outside monitoring of that agency's computer transactions.
The article "Fostergate" by Jim Norman--written for Forbes,then killed by Forbes board member Caspar Weinberger (but later published in Media By-Pass)--describes Vince Foster, the late White House Special Counsel and law partner of Hillary Clinton, as the overseer of a National Security Agency project to install the modified PROMIS in the banking industry. This was done through Foster's involvement with the Arkansas bank data company Systematics, a company connected with the NSA and CIA.
Later, the story goes, Foster fell victim to a group of CIA renegades known as the Fifth Column who were working to eradicate government corruption. Supposedly, Fifth Column operatives were using the modified PROMIS to empty the Swiss bank accounts of government officials.
Foster was one of their victims. One day he checked the balance of his Swiss account and found it empty, and knew he was in trouble. Formerly this account had held money he was paid for his role in the October Surprise affair.
The October Surprise was to have been Jimmy Carter's ticket to reelection in the campaign against Ronald Reagan. As has been well documented, a deal had been worked out with the Iranian government which would have released the hostages in the U.S. Embassy a month before the election. When the Reagan-Bush camp learned about the plan, George Bush and Caspar Weinberger made their own deal with the Iranians to delay the hostage release till after the election. Israel mediated this deal, and, after Ronald Reagan's election, were paid. This was Foster's role. Acting under the auspices of Bush and Weinberger, Foster arranged for the transfer of nuclear launch codes to Israel--a deeply treasonous offense which, if exposed by the Fifth Column, would destroy Foster and anyone connected to him, including the Clinton administration.
Foster died under mysterious circumstances. Officially, it was a suicide. Yet the evidence--gun in the wrong hand, a body that had been clearly been moved from somewhere else, and much more--clearly supports murder.

Ben-Menashe tells how Israel and the United States government got control of Promis, a computer software developed by Bill Hamilton who formed a company named Inslaw. Promis could go into other computers around the world and bring out information for Israeli intelligence. Promis was leased to the U.S. Justice Department which then claimed it turned it back to its owners, Bill and Nancy Hamilton. They found that the Promis system was then being sold by the U.S. to other countries around the world. The Hamiltons sued. Their case has been recently investigated by the House Judiciary committee. The CIA and others were involved in the sale of Promis under Ed Meese. Israel planned to use it to keep up with movement of terrorists around the world. Meese wanted it to keep up with criminals.

For over a year before his death, Casolaro was running down leads
on an operation he termed the "Octopus." In a proposal he wrote
for his upcoming book, he was prepared to
expose an international cabal made up of "thugs and thieves who
roam the earth with their weapons and their murders, trading dope
and dirty money for the secrets of the temple."

Casolaro began to develop his theory while investigating the
Inslaw scandal. Inslaw was the name of a small computer company
owned by William and Nancy Hamilton who, in 1982, signed a $10
million contract with the Justice Department to install their
PROMIS software into offices of forty-two U.S. Attorneys.
Incurring heavy debt, Inslaw obtained a loan to complete the
contract, but upon installation the Justice Department refused to
pay, thus forcing them into bankruptcy.

At the same time, a close friend of then-Attorney General Edwin
Meese, Earl Brian, had a controlling interest in a competing
computer company called Hadron, Incorporated. Brian was linked to
covert operations with the United States and Israeli intelligence
communities and reportedly worked for the CIA.
Previously, Hadron's chairman had attempted to purchase the
PROMIS software from Inslaw but they had refused to sell. After
Inslaw sought refuge in Chapter 11, pressure from the IRS forced
Inslaw into Chapter 7 liquidation which would open the door for
Hadron to acquire the PROMIS software.
The Hamiltons and their attorney, former U.S. Attorney General
Elliot Richardson, filed a civil suit claiming the Justice
Department appropriated PROMIS to give the software to Earl Brian
to raise money for covert actions and to turn it over to the
National Security Agency for marketing to foreign intelligence
services. The PROMIS software was designed to keep track of law
enforcement cases, but could also be used to keep tabs on
political dissidents.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge George Bason, who ruled in favor of Inslaw
in the civil trial, awarded the Hamiltons $6.8 million and found,
in September 1987, that Justice Department officials "took,
converted and stole" PROMIS through "trickery, fraud and deceit."

7. In connection with my work for Wackenhut, I engaged in some software development and modification work in 1983 and 1984 on the proprietary PROMIS computer software product. The copy of PROMIS on which I worked came from the US Department of Justice. Earl W. Brian made it available to me through Wackenhut after acquiring it from Peter Videnieks, who was then a Department of Justice contracting official with responsibility for the PROMIS software. I performed the modifications to PROMIS in Indio, California; Silver Spring, Maryland; and Miami, Florida.
8. The purpose of the PROMIS software modifications that I made in 1983 and 1984 was to support a plan for the implementation of PROMIS in law enforcement and intelligence agencies worldwide. Earl W. Brian was spearheading the plan for this worldwide use of the PROMIS computer software.
9. Some of the modifications that I made were specifically designed to facilitate the implementation of PROMIS within two agencies of the Government of Canada: the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS). Earl W. Brian would check with me from time to time to make certain that the work would be completed in time to satisfy the schedule for the RCMP and CSIS implementations of PROMIS.
10. The proprietary versions of PROMIS, as modified by me, was, in fact, implemented in both the RCMP and the CSIS in Canada. It was my understanding that Earl W. Brian had sold this version of PROMIS to the Government of Canada.
11. In February 1991, I had a telephone conversation with Peter Videnieks, then still employed by the U.S. Department of Justice. Videnieks attempted during this telephone conversation to persuade me not to cooperate with an independent investigation of the government's piracy of INSLAW's proprietary PROMIS software being conducted by the Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives.

This is an extremely urgent matter. Authorities have bungled the handling of this, now it is up to the people to do something. The man who gave me this information was involved in negotiations with the Mujahadeen on behalf of the US government in the early 1980s. He was encouraged to make his own contacts and has maintained those contacts through the years. He has informants well positioned within the terrorist cells. So why won't the government listen to him?
Michael Riconosciuto is a brilliant genius, off the scale! He is well-known in certain government circles for his involvement in the installation of a back door into a software program called Promis. The US Justice Department had obtained a copy of Promis illegally and the resulting lawsuit from Inslaw, the proprietor, created a huge scandal which continues to surface as the years go by. Recently, FOX News reported that Osama Bin Laden has the Promis software. This means he can move funds and keep track of his enemies without being hindered. Michael Riconosciuto was asked by Bill Hamilton, the proprietor of Promis, to sign an affidavit about his alterations to the software. A week before he signed, Michael was threatened. There had already been deaths around him and Michael informed his family (which happens to be my family) that he was about to be murdered or jailed and that whatever the family was going to be told about him, it wasn't true, he was being framed for telling the truth. A week after signing the affidavit, Michael ended up in jail on charges of running a drug lab. As a scientist, Michael was working on some amazing new mining technology for which there is a paper trail. We have a photo of the lab which was taken shortly before the raid - the mining equipment intact. This equipment was subsequently destroyed by the DEA.
Michael never got a fair trial. Two of his lawyers have been murdered, as well as friends and journalist Danny Casolaro. Because the US government doesn't want to admit anything about Promis, Michael has been relegated as a nut case and serious efforts to isolate him have been ongoing for more than ten years. It is very difficult for his family to communicate with him because his letters are intercepted and don't get through. As the years go by, more and more evidence is brought to light, Canada has investigated their own breach of national security because of Promis and it is obvious that Promis is not an imaginary problem.
