NOL EXPLOSION IN BRONZE - Net of Logos - END OF WMD SOURCE CODE?
NOL EXPLOSION IN BRONZE - Net of Logos - END OF WMD SOURCE CODE?
In view of the Vatican's upcoming conference on Evolutionary Biology and Pope Benedict's scheduled visit to Luanda, Angola (Africa) at Spring Equinox, it seems timely to review some of the more prominent departures from tradition following JPII's apology to the world for the "sins of the Church" in Y2k.
Describing the NOL or Net of Logos was approached whimsically in an August, 2008 post:
GROUP RESONANCES IN THE NET OF LOGOS APPREHEND SELF-ASSEMBLING PUZZLE PIECES NET OF LOGOS: Nodes in the Net apprehend Noets. Noets commonly arise when an unlikely pairing of things occurs, and usually give rise to double meanings. Each noet bears a charge (charm of meaning) that attracts attention sustained at the apprehending Node (or Nodes). Noets can be joined to form a Net of Meaning that encompasses More than the Sum of its Parts. In this process, Nodes function in resonance that registers both inside and outside of time. The Net of Logos can function as an oracle comprised of by and for the group (up to and including group-earth and beyond).

Rather than the long dreaded and intensely fear-fueled ("WMD Source Code") nuclear conflagration occurring at "Millennial Rollover" (around Y2k), the proliferation of internet communications and concurrent expansion of relatedness in human society have eventuated instead, removing obstacles to the sudden FLASHING FORTH of the NOL. Hypothetically speaking, these are effects of the 2008-2012 Venus Passage.

INTELLIGENT UNIVERSE INVITES THE WORLD TO AUDIENCE HALL
In addition to the providence behind the details of these events, consider the confluence of circumstance in the wider world surrounding them:
In Spring 2007 plans for a rooftop solar array to provide electricity for the Vatican's "biggest energy guzzler" were announced.
On Thanksgiving Day of 2008 the governor of Vatican City mentioned planning for a photovoltaic "farm" of 740 acres (300 hectares) at the Vatican Radio transmission center near Rome.
"Green Vatican" coverage sustained ongoing awareness of energy planning of the 108-acre nation.
Indirectly... showcase photovoltaic system on a Vatican rooftop...
Mass attention drawn within the building known casually as Nervi Hall, into the space under that roof... what arrangement of atoms molecules and animating plasma is found within?
IU REPRESENTATION OF RESURRECTION STAGED IN AUDIENCE HALL
Paul VI Hall was designed for an audience of 6,300, and energy for lighting heating and cooling this space is provided by the (approximately 2,500) panels on the roof, according to descriptions circulating.
Long familiar notions of the Catholic Church as a staid and anachronistic institution pale in witness of the type of events held in Audience Hall, and the exhuberant spontaneity among the thousands of witnesses (including clowns jugglers and acrobats).
In the above video you can catch glimpses of the backdrop, an immense bronze conceived over many years and four years in the making. The sculpture has been panned in channels such as GLP Icke and Savage. It is curious that the work is so blatantly "not classical". It has none of the evocative imagery to be expected in such a prominently enshrined icon. Through this high-profile and quite radical departure, what communication was intended?
Click-able hires pic captures all of Fazzini's "Resurrection of Christ"... here.
RESURRECTION MASS CELEBRATES MASS-RESURRECTION
Demonic or Christic?
"Suddenly there came to me the idea of Christ preaching peace for 2,000 years, and the place where He prayed for the last time: the olive grove of Gethsemane, I had the idea of depicting Christ as if He were rising again from the explosion of this large olive grove, peaceful site of His last prayers. Christ rises from this crater torn open by a nuclear bomb; an atrocious explosion, a vortex of violence and energy."
Commissions to architect Nervi and sculptor Fazzini for Paul Vi Hall occurred in the hightened tensions following the Six Day War.
Controversy around Fazzini's "Resurrection of Christ" has a precedent from 1955 about another work by Fazzini. The controversy produced a title for the 1955 piece that was not the artist's. In June, 2008 reporter Daniel Gilbert sorted through the dazzingly surreal details of this very interesting tale. Excerpt:
For a month in 1955, the Bristol newspaper and Fazzini traded editorial broadsides across the Atlantic, reported by wire correspondents in Bristol and Rome. The national media dug in to the clash of high and hillbilly artistic taste, and the Soviet Union’s Ministry of Culture took a swipe at both parties as an example of another “bourgeois falling-out.”
In the end, Bristol dealt out $2,600 for the artist’s fees to be rid of “Groping Boy,” whose original price was $8,500. A prominent Bristol businessman-cum-philanthropist purchased the spurned sculpture and planted it in his garden, where it slipped out of the spotlight – until now.
A decade later, the Vatican commissioned Fazzini's "Resurrection". With the above internationally sensationalized drama over the work of a noted Italian artist, it's hard to imagine that the selection of Fazzini was driven by a priority concern to avoid controversy. On the other hand, such a choice might work if the objective was to make a statement through art about some sort of radical departure.
We might envision Fazzini, if he were still present, having an epiphany and seeing the global conscience transforming the nuclear nightmare into the unfolding and explosion of the gifting spirit. As well, we might see that his sculpture clearly represents that palimpsest in action.
Luigi Nervi was commissioned for the new St Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco as Vatican II got underway, so Paul VI Hall must be a contemporary project, with at least some overlap in Nervi's creative processes.
In retrospect it is clear that one of the results of the Vatican II Council was to further elevate the importance of Mary, beyond the official declarations of Her Assumption 1 November 1950.
The Great Pyramid famously models Earth and the Earth-Sun system. St Mary's is a monument to KT's Mother"? That would amount to a heresy dwarfing the controversy over Fazzini's "Resurrection". Earth Mother? Fazzini described his vision for Resurrection as Christ emerging from the crater of a nuclear explosion in the peaceful olive garden at Gethsemane.
It may not be too difficult to present a compelling set of facts supporting the notion that the Vatican had already begun its transformational process by 1950, that the process advanced and expanded with Vatican II. Burning Man afficionados notwithstanding, the ancient and regressive church patriarchy within the Vatican may have figuratively gasped its last breath when JPII's breath was not stopped.
It may not be too difficult to assert that the immense backdrop to the papal throne in Nervi Hall presents a miraculous icon of the transformative process now playing out in humanity's largest mission-critical infrastructure components, while gathered witnesses observe.
