LEXINGTON, Mass., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company has been informed that four employees have perished in the national tragedy of September 11. All four employees were passengers on flights that crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
"Our hearts go out to the families, friends and co-workers of those we have lost, and all who perished yesterday," said Raytheon Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dan Burnham.
The four employees who died were:
* Peter Gay, 54, of Tewksbury, Mass., a vice president of operations for Electronic Systems based in Andover, Mass., 28 years of service
* Stanley Hall, 68, of Clifton, Va., director of program management in Arlington, Va., 17 years of service
* David P. Kovalcin, 42, of Hudson, N.H., senior mechanical engineer for Electronic Systems in Tewksbury, Mass., 15 years of service
* Kenneth E. Waldie, 46, of Methuen, Mass., senior quality control engineer for Electronic Systems in Andover, Mass., 17 years of service
Raytheon is offering grief counseling and emotional support for the victims' families and employees through the company's Employee Assistance Program.
Raytheon has also established a special fund to provide gifts from Raytheon and its employees for disaster relief for all victims. Raytheon is also providing disaster relief services through a grant the company made to the American Red Cross earlier this year.
