Experiments on genes and DNA have been producing impressive results, seen from the scientifical point of view. As usual, again the ethic compononent is lacking. And not only! Due to the blindfolding of scientists by the "Darwinian Syndrome" of a materialistic view-only science misses some key-points.
These "experiments" should stay INSIDE those laboratories they were started in. As they are what they are: Mere "experiments" - and not "state-of-art".
Similar to Goethes "Sorcerer's Apprentice" scientist can't comprehend what they are doing - because their assumptions are based on wrong and incomplete models.
Decoding the Human genome and analyzing various "effects" and "interactions" doesn't mean that one would know HOW STUFF WORKS. You may only recognize one possibility - and never may see the whole picture.
DNA is the materialistic equvalent for something much more complex - and beautiful - than merely "mechanic" interaction. DNA works with vibrational patterns, "receives" and "sends out" certain frequencies - that "make something". Proteins (THEY make up the DNA(!) - seem to be much more important, than the DNA itself - that seems to function as a kind of antenna for information-channeling inside living beings. - Watch the connection of the words "beeings"- "beings"!
Making the DNA "responsable" for something, would be like making the antenna on your radio responsible for the program, you are receiving by your device...
All the FDA-rules don't take into consideration any of these facts, when a company asks for an allowance to spread their product for the public consumation.
The company Syngenta e.g. - has modified their so called Bt-Cotton, where a bacteria-genom is included (Bazillus thuringiensis -- thuringiensis-Genome „cry1Ab“) that was "designed" to kill grubs of insects - if everything goes "right"...
So, which "grub control" - for what "insects" are we speaking of here? Grass grub (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) - or others larvas as well?
And much more! The Canadian Government had expressed "concerns" that the Bacteria remains in the WATER:
Abstract
Genetically modified corn crops and suspensions of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) are currently used to control pest infestations of insects of the Lepidoptera family. For this purpose, the cry1Ab gene coding for protein delta-endotoxin derived from B. thuringiensis kurstaki (Btk), which is highly toxic to these insects, was inserted and expressed in corn. The aims of this study were to examine the occurrence and persistence of the cry1Ab gene from Btk and Bt corn in aquatic environments near fields where Bt corn was cultivated. First, an optimal DNA preparation and extraction methodology was developed to allow for quantitative gene analysis by real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) in various environmental matrices. Second, surface water and sediment were spiked in vitro with genomic DNA from Bt or Bt corn to evaluate the persistence of cry1Ab genes. Third, soil, sediment, and water samples were collected before seeding, 2 weeks after pollen release, and after corn harvesting and mechanical root remixing in soils to assess cry1Ab gene content....
Along with the latest tests by French scientists where lab-rats and mice developed cancer symptomes and liver and kidney problems after being fed with Monsanto (Mon863) corn - the shit seems to have hit the fan already.
