Do you remember the movie "TELEFON" - with Charles Bronson? It came out 1977.
It's about an operation called TELEFON from the Cold War that involved recruiting young SOVIET agents and then brainwashing them into believing that they are Americans they would then assume the identity of an American who died a long and who would be their age now. They were sent to the U.S. in the 1950's and would be situated in a city that is near or where a key U.S. military installation is location. They were also programmed to destroy upon receiving the command phrase. They have been fortunate that they have never had to send them on their missions. But they believe that Dalchimsky (the "bad guy") stole the book that lists all the TELEFON agents and is now sending them out on their suicide missions...
The command phrase, the "trigger" is a line of a poem by Robert Frost:

I tried to find the advertising agency of those campaigns - and see with what ADDITIONAL BIG CAKES (from where) they possibly might have been REWARDED with. I din't find any...
