This BBC report details the account of many Lebanese refugees (said to be in their hundreds of thousands) who are welcome by Syrian families across the border in their homes. It shows another side of conflict, not much talked about so far; it is a very interesting back ground report, take a look at it:

Meanwhile. The Israeli army is expanding its "operations" now into a full blown war, aiming (according to some reports) even further North than the Litani river, using its new weapons that can only be sumarized as "killing" and we do not really know how many Lebanese people are being killed.
The U.N. is as was to be expected further away from a resolution than ever, because probably this was the plan all along. To let Israel start moving its armies North. I then came across this old prophecy-type material as seen from the Oriental side:

The Killing ...
...the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
"The Hour will not happen until knowledge is taken out, time passes quickly, earthquakes increase in number, tribulations (fitan) appear, and al-Harj increases in number."
It was said, "What is al-Harj, O Rasulullah?"
He said, "Al Qatl, al Qatl (Killing)."
A lot of what is mentioned in this hadeeth has already materialized.

Narrated 'Abdullah:
The Prophet said, "Near the establishment of the Hour, there will be the days of Al-Harj, and the religious knowledge will be taken away (vanish, i.e. by the death of religious scholars) and general ignorance will spread." Abu Musa said, "Al-Harj, in the Ethiopian language, means killing," Ibn Mas'ud added: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, (It will be) from among the most wicked people who will be living at the time when the Hour will be established."

Is it really written that things will have to go that way?
