Maps cannot adequately say what things look like on the ground, and I said it is best not to feed it, not to give it energy, and yet, I feel at least you -- the reader -- should see what the strategy is about since you may be exposed to mainstream TV news that are slanted in favor of the aggressors.
It is much more than just the Litani River and the waters that are in the scope of Israel, although that is certainly an obvious first step to secure Israeli water resources for the next ten to twenty years. This activity aims at a new generation, at an expansion of "Lebensraum" or living space. Twenty years at the least.
However, as this map shows you, the shelling by IDF (Israeli "Defense" Forces) goes way up North into the Bekaa Valley and almost into Syrian territory.
