Readers studied -- to my surprise -- what is a rather old text that is well known among astrologers and people interested in potential futures. Here once more an excerpt on another web site, just to show it is really very well known in the awareness of mankind:
At the sister site of RMN -- http://bringemon.org -- the inquisitive poster known as "waiting" and others pondered this type of question related to the vision of Grandfather Stalking Wolf who taught Tom Braun -- and below the bolded question-post by "waiting" is an attempt of my answer, and you should ask your own self what your answer ought to be, since my answer is only for my own taste:

"Hi St Clair,
I just finished reading the nightmarish "Red Sky" essay. It sent shudders down my spine as i read it.
To believe that this is the fate of man would create such a state of apathy in me, that i would spend the rest of my days innebriated, whilst i await such a fate.
This grandfather may have been right in many of his prognostications, but to believe his final ending would simply feed this horrid scenario. I just cannot do that, for the sake of my peace and sanity.
I have read many visions in the past, by many authors, as i've waded through the river of life.
Some are as his, showing no way out (after his second warning).
Somewhat corresponds to Nemesis' latest contribution on RMN.
Yet others paint a very different outcome. One that keeps the hopeful hoping. Is it vain and prideful to choose the latter? Is it foolish to want to overcome the lurking evil that drools at the prospect of a global lunch?
If the grandfather is right, i await my fate, as we all do, but as long as i can do something about it now, to help change theis ugly worldview, i shall.
Do you agree with the grandfather?"

St.Clair:
"Do I agree with Grandfather? Yes and No.
* Yes as to his vision... because who am I to disapprove of his vision or to disempower what he saw or heard? After all, thats is what he felt compelled to convey to Tom Brown, just as other teachers felt compelled to convey to me certain impressions of their own foresights... however ...
* No in as far as inherent to his own vision was also embedded his own advice as to what we ought to be doing -- either to avoid it and change the outcome, or in case it happens what else we can do for ourselves and the earth to continue on, which is what I explain in my book (for my taste) and he explains it also very clearly in his own words, which is why the young boy whom he taught does now lead these Tracker School philosophy classes.
I was explaining today to a politician "businessman" type client who has read my book what is at stake. He asked me: "What do you advise me now to do?" I told him first you change your mindset, then you teach those whom you can reach to do the same, then we shall see... then he asked me this: "What is life about?" ((Same question as AQUALIGHT asks at BringemOn)), and we pondered this question... and we settled together for this answer: "LIFE IS CONTINUANCE"
You would have to study carefully the wording of the vision by Grandfather Stalking Wolf and his advice inherent to the vision, and you would also read what I say in answer to my own question in Zen of Stars to see exactly where I see things going if and when we alter the course of the predicted future...
.
Here is what Grandfather quotes:
"The child said, "The fourth and final sign will appear through the next ten winters [that is, ten years] following the night that the stars will bleed. During this time, the Earth will heal itself and man will die. For those ten years, the children of the Earth must remain hidden in the wild places, make no permanent camps, and wander to avoid contact with the last remaining forces of man. They must remain hidden, like the ancient scouts, and fight the urge to go back to the destruction of man. Curiosity could kill many."
The question is also on the back cover of my book: "If we can predict the outcome, can we change it?" My answer is in essence the same as the sign that the Cetacean friend left us human beings with, when he passed away on the barge "Crossness" sailing West on the river Thames in London, headquarter of Sauron, in winter of 2006, while Evo Morales the shaman took spiritual power for his nation tribe in Bolivia.
The answer ((in the way I interpreted it from the sign in shamanic terms)) as it was left by the little bottle-nosed whale to mankind -- was this:
"STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM... * C I V I L I Z A T I O N * . . . AS YOU CAN."
There is no hope for society or mankind, but there is faith in you and me, or man and woman if and when we work and think together. So, my answer to "waiting" is a positive one: Prepare!
Peace
M StC.
