As reported by Israel's Haaretz (see excerpt below) there existed a plan to detain all of the Hamas' officials!

Attorney General Menachem Mazuz refused a request by the Shin Bet security service and the government to place dozens of senior Hamas officials under administrative detention or hold them as "bargaining chips" under the Unlawful Combatants Law.
Mazuz insisted that the arrests be carried out under ordinary criminal warrants that would require legal proceedings against the Hamas officials under the Prevention of Terror Ordinance. They will probably be charged with membership in or leadership of a terrorist organization.
The detainees will be brought before a judge for a remand hearing within the next 96 hours, and legal proceedings against them will be carried out in military courts in the territories.
Israel intends to arrest more senior Hamas figures in addition to the dozens of Palestinian lawmakers and ministers arrested in a predawn raid Thursday, the Justice Ministry said Thursday.
The detention of Hamas parliamentarians in the early hours of Thursday morning had been planned several weeks ago and received approval from Mazuz on Wednesday. The same day, Shin Bet Director Yuval Diskin presented Prime Minister Ehud Olmert with the list of Hamas officials slated for detention.

Yes, indeed, this raises "particular concerns" with me as well and bolsters moreover the suspicion that the "kidnapping" of Cpl. Gilad Shalit was a staged OPs by those who wanted to implement the original plan.
In this context even the shelling-provokation on June 9th, where 8 Palestinians were killed and 32 injured when an IDF 155mm grenade exploded on a Gaza beach, makes sense.

I have always wondered if these are really the chosen people, then why has
every country around that area been blessed with mighty civilizations, Egypt,
Iran, Iraq, Chaldean, Assayrians, etc. all except the chosen people. If they
were so special then why are they not mention in history. We hear about all the
great minds of the Greeks,China,India,but never about the smartest man in the
world Solomon.
Something is terribly wrong, how would you treat your favorite chosen son? The
one that you made a treaty with, would you deprive him and enslave him
repeatedly?
I am not against the Jewish people but I am interested in truth.
The so call moon God is not Allah but someone else, research it. The poor
Jewish people remind me of a young boy thrown in prison looking for a daddy for
protection. That is what they have done all their life, find someone else to
fight for them. They did take Jesus to Pilate, Pilate never wanted any part of
the Jesus death. Believe me the Jewish people can win a hundred wars but will
never conquer the Arabic (nuclear weapons or none) people but all they have to
do is lose one and they are toast. I do not desire anything bad for anyone, be
it Jew or Arabic I just can't see all this hate that is so unfounded and
baseless.

Thank you - as I often mentioned around here - nowaday's Israel has not much to do with "Jews" anymore. I am not even sure whether those who pretend to be "the chosen" (chosen for what?) are not the victims of one of the greatest hoaxes of history. They tried to change history - and they'll got "rewarded" for doing so.

Reminds me once again of the story of Jacob and Esau where the symbolism reveals very clearly that the "lineage" was broken.
Everything was mixed up. Esau sold his birthright! Slowly by slowly everything became a "pottage of lentils" - while I call your attention to the fact that "lentils" are LENSE-SHAPED seeds (Lens culinaris).
So I even find one more revealing piece of symbolism in that story of Jacob & Esau: Lenses are good for magnifying, for focussing your attention on a specific topic!
So eat your own portion of "magnifying lenses" and try to find YOUR TRUTH.
