Yesterday evening - exactly at 9.10 p.m. - Airforce One did land at Vienna's airport - spilling out the US Prezi together with a cordon of those usual "onhangers".
The "Eagle" has landed
Before the arrival of the "Eagle No1", there was a lot of excessive Chemtrail spraying (see pics below) going on during the afternoon and a mysterios plane (a C131?) was strifing at low level the wooden area over the Danube nearby Vienna's International Airport. Additionally many helis that were buzzing over our heads - manned with snipers and equipped with sophisticated night vision equipment.

George and Laura came stepping down the gangway in their usual waving manner and were welcomed by Austrian Chancellor Schuessel and his wife Krista.

The cordon of about 40 cars and countless motorbikes soon left the airport and drove over a completely closed highway those appr. 20 Miles to the Vienna Intercontinental Hotel, where the "Bush-on-Tour" team has been preparing - and de facto "rebuilding" - the hotel since weeks. Even a special toilet for the Prezi has been flown in from the States - and I am sure that this beats any other "Rock Star" - as all this looks indeed like a Rock Star would prepare for one of his "concerts".
So finally, politics did beat Rock - and all those rumors about Mick Jagger, claiming the venue of sweet dreams from the US Prezi - have been proven false...
Today, a manifold of (organized, peaceful) protest have gathered (We saw Cindy Sheehan among them...) - regarded as an almost normal procedure during Bushvisits abroad. Some 2,000 folks showed up and were flanked by sheer countless, but nevertheless polite, police. During his stay in Vienna the US Prezi is "protected" by appr. 3,000 police plus "several more" secret service units.

When the Prezi moved to the Imperial Castle of the Hofburg where the US/EU summit is going to take place, whole streets were closed down and off limits for "normal" people.

One bystanding woman - who owns a small shop in the City of Vienna - pointed it out clearly: "This we do only know from the movies, I never saw this before..."
And another: "I want to see whether those Americans would close down the Times Square because of one, single person..."
It almost goes without saying that those "tour-directors" of the US Prezi are real pros. There seems to be left no such thing as "by chance". During Bush's roadshow in Bucarest/Romania at the former HQ of the Communist Party the Prezi's "illuminator" (a perfect expression for a light-specialist) had some reflectors flown in from Great Britain - to show everything in the best light. Not to forget the production with the landing on the US Carrier ("Mission Completed") as well as the staging with the artificial Turkey at Bush's visit in Iraq during Thanksgiving...
The whole world has become a stage. And it gets more visible from day to day. Even to us "normal" citizens.
While I am writing these lines various helicopters are buzzing and hovering over the Viennese city - under normal circumstances impossible, as this is a no-fly zone... - and I even can't visit my favourite coffee shop near the St.Stephens Cathedral (Laura is just there for "sightseeing"), as everything has been cordoned off and some places of this beautiful, normally vivid city, simply do remind us of a "ghost town".
By now it seems to be clear that this giant road show merely exists to remind everyone of how terribly important the presidency is, even though it is only...
