Raye, I noticed this too. Diebold and Smartmatic are like the 'dueling banjos.' Almost a satirical comedy in the making. There were many questions about the legitimacy of the 2004 Presidential election because of the Diebold electronic voting boxes. Many felt the Neo-Cons were controlling the election results. This topic was thoroughly discussed on RMN.
Now, Smartmatic emerges ... guns blazing. Perhaps this stand-off at the OK corral will be the only action which can clean-up a compromised voting system. Perhaps now, we can actually get our votes counted. A strange check and balance system seems to be emerging ... as Diebold and Smartmatic go head-to-head.
Hopefully, now we will see a return to paper ballots and bipartisan election teams counting those infamous chads.
This may be a blessing in disguise since every American wants 'their vote to be counted.' ~G~
