Say what?
Yeah, yeah... it's one thing to say that Chavez can destroy our economy by jacking up the price of oil, or refusing to sell ANY Venezuelan oil to the United States... but it's a whole OTHER thing to make a wild statement that Hugo Chavez can rig the November elections....
Think he can't???
Well you'd better think again.
There's a little company named Smartmatic that you'd better start learning about real quick!!
Today, voters in 20 California counties used voting machines provided by Sequoia Voting Systems of Oakland, CA. Sequoia is the country's oldest maker of election equipment.
Sequoia was founded in Jamestown, N.Y. in the late 1890s. It was acquired in March 2005 by Smartmatic Corp., a private company owned by Venezuelan investors through a series of holding companies based in Europe and the Caribbean.
An interesting sidenote that I will include here is the fact that Sequoia's previous owner was the British firm De La Rue, best known for printing currencies for dozens of foreign governments. Needless to say... these companies have NEW WORLD ORDER written ALL over them!!!
Now... let's get to the meat of this....
From the Miami Herald:
Smartmatic has a brief but controversial history. The company was started in Caracas during the late 1990s by engineers Antonio Mugica and Alfredo Anzola. They worked out of downtown Caracas providing small-scale technology services to Latin American banks. Despite having no election experience, the tiny company rocketed from obscurity in 2004 after it was awarded a $100 million contract by the Chávez-dominated National Electoral Council to replace Venezuela's electronic voting machines for the recall vote.
When the council announced the deal, it disingenuously described Smartmatic as a Florida company, though Smartmatic's main operations were in Caracas and the firm had incorporated only a small office in Boca Raton. It then emerged that Smartmatic's ''partner'' in the deal, Bizta Corp., also directed by Anzola and Mugica, was partly owned by the Venezuelan government through a series of intermediary shell corporations. Venezuela initially denied its investment but eventually sold its stake.
When the vote finally came, exit polls by New York's Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates showed Chávez had been defeated 59 to 41 percent; however, when official tallies were announced, the numbers flipped to 58-42 in favor of Chávez. Venezuela's electoral council briefly posted machine-by-machine tallies on the Internet but removed them as mathematicians from MIT, Harvard and other universities began questioning suspicious patterns in the results.
BTW -- Jimmy Carter validated these election results... I mention this just in case anyone still thought he worked for the American people rather than his NWO handlers!!
WHO IS REALLY RUNNING U.S. ELECTIONS?

While the real owners of Sequoia Voting Systems remain hidden, one thing is very clear – this privately-owned foreign company, staffed by Venezuelans and former Unisys executives, will control decisive vote tallies during the next presidential election.
From Homeland Stupidity:
Some of the worst news possible for the security of U.S. elections came a year ago, and somehow I missed it. In March 2005, Smartmatic, a company based in Venezuela, purchased Sequoia Voting Systems, a company which makes electronic voting equipment.
What’s the big deal? Sequoia’s systems are just as insecure as Diebold’s, with irregularities being reported this week in Pittsburgh and Chicago. And the parent company, Smartmatic, whose machines were used in Venezuela’s 2004 recall election, still refuses to answer questions over the results of that election.
Let’s look at Venezuela’s elecction for a minute. Richard Brand writes about the national security threat posed by the Smartmatic/Sequoia merger:
When the vote finally came, exit polls by New York’s Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates showed Chávez had been defeated 59 to 41 percent; however, when official tallies were announced, the numbers flipped to 58-42 in favor of Chávez. Venezuela’s electoral council briefly posted machine-by-machine tallies on the Internet but removed them as mathematicians from MIT, Harvard and other universities began questioning suspicious patterns in the results. — Miami Herald

Closer to home, Sequoia’s voting machines are coming under fire for irregularities found during testing in Pittsburgh. A voting machine examiner there was able to turn a handful of votes into thousands and malicious parties could reproduce the problem even with the fix that Sequoia applied to the machines. The machines also had audit trail problems during testing.
It turns out that the audit trail problem was just one tiny example of how unstable and poorly written Sequoia’s voting software is. Last week in Chicago, voting machines experienced a wide variety of problems, from jammed printers to malfunctioning touch screens to just about everything else imaginable.
This is quite interesting. Those failing machines used in last week’s Chicago elections were just on loan, and are going to Clark County, Nevada, and Clark County’s old machines went to Allegheny County, Pa., which, you guessed it, are the same ones described above which let malicious parties rig elections.
So you have one of the big three voting machine companies in the U.S. under the control of Venezuela, and already widely suspected of election fraud, another (Diebold) which just doesn’t care about security, and I guess I’m going to have to take a closer look at ES&S now, and see what their major malfunction is.

The long and short of voting machines goes like this... Diebold appears to be controlled by the Republicans and Smartmatic appears to be controlled by the Democrats!! It's that simple!! I guess they must have figured out if you can't beat 'em... then you'd better join 'em!!
It's time for states that have the initiative to put an initiative on the ballot that restores paper ballot voting.
GET RID OF THE MACHINES!! ELECTIONS CAN BE CONTROLLED BY THE PUSH OF A BUTTON! WHOEVER PAYS THE PROGRAMMER MORE MONEY, WINS!!
Our elections are being held hostage by Diebold and Smartmatic!!
And YOU thought the country was in danger when Dubai wanted to control our ports... just THINK about having a foreign country control OUR ELECTIONS!!!
