Hmmm, I feel miffed at your judgement of my ego, especially when you do not know me. If I was into ego my friend, surely I would have my picture pasted all over my website and magazine editorial page. Surely I would be doing international lecture tours. In fact, I do everything I can NOT to attract a cult of personality. I feel the message is more important than the messenger.
My gripe with Icke has been publicly aired and replied to by his lordship. It was not nice, and nothing was resolved.
It revolves around his allegations that two other researchers in his field are satanic, baby eating, reptilian shapeshifters. He labels them this purely to avoid getting into detailed debate with them in public.
Specifically, Icke accuses (pardon me, he actually is very careful in writing, he hides behind Arizona Wilder and Stewart Swerdlow's allegations), but from the stage he has accused Laurence Gardner and Zecharia Sitchin of being such monstrosities.
Now, I am not asking you to agree with Gardner or Sitchin, but I told Icke that his tactics of smear reeked of those used by the tabloids media against him. Even Icke's own co-writer left him in disgust!
One can still visit Icke's website today, wherein he still is calling for anyone with any dirt on Gardner to step forth with it.
Why? So he can tell you all about it, and therefore you will all NOT consider Gardner's research (which just happens to contradict Icke's own "Jesus did not exist" theory) etc.
Nothing Icke has come up with is new, except for the smear attacks against fellow researchers, Laurence Gardner, Zecharia Sitchin and myself. All he is doing is putting a great spin on it and adding two and two to get five.
I feel quite qualified to comment on David Icke thank you very much. After all, it was our magazine which he used to wave on stage, our magazine which he put quotes from on the front covers of his books, and our magazine articles which he uses to get ideas for his books.
It is writers and people I know personally who Icke is calling baby-eating, reptilian shape-shifters - and he is down-right wrong, and I darn will comment about it whenever I want.
If it means that dimwits like you will interpret my frequent qualifying of where I stand regarding Icke, as 'ego battles', then so be it.
What, pray tell though, do you call your tirade - humility?
regards to all
Duncan
