There are two aspects to David Icke and both are highly questionable. On the one hand he's pushing a message that is deeply, fundamentally, intrinsically ANTI-CHRISTIAN. Such is Icke's charisma however that he's doing it with a smile and convincing the gullible and naive that he's illuminating them. Or as Nexus editor Duncan Roads put it: he can tell people that two and two is five and some are going to believe him.
This conclusion is not based on a few visits to his web site but on the first the hand experience of researchers, conference organisers and editors; people who've worked with David Icke and seen at first hand what he is really like. According to them he is fundamentally opposed to Christian teaching, as he himself freely admits.
"The alleged life of Jesus" Christ, says Icke (page 95 The Biggest Secret), was a myth created by the then ruling elite, the church authorities and the Holy Roman Emperor to further propagate their power.
"You can write an entire book about the myths in the Bible," he writes in 'The Biggest Secret', page 100: "There is no credible evidence whatsoever for the existence of Jesus, nothing. So it is with Solomon, Moses, David, Abraham, Samson and countless other biblical 'stars'. All we have are the Levite texts and the Gospel stories in their various versions. So desperate did the religious manipulators become to cross reference 'Jesus' that they inserted a pathetically obvious addition into the works of the Jewish historian, Josephus, to support the unsupportable."
But he doesn't just deride the very notion of Christ, he goes out of his way to insinuate that the early Christians themselves were little better than terrorists:
"There are scores of documents relating to the Essene customs and organisation", he writes on page 96 of 'The Biggest Secret'. "The scrolls confirm that the Essense were fanatics who followed to the letter the Levite intentions in the Old Testament texts. Anyone who didn't do the same was the enemy…"
Moreover he goes on to say that their inspiration and insights came not from meditation and fasting but from drugs. Yet as anyone who has read the Gospel of the Essenes knows, this is a complete misrepresentation of the early Christian sect that Christ was said to have belonged to.
On the other hand he has also helped discredit genuine conspiracy researchers everywhere. By taking their ideas, passing them of as his own, and then adding his own truly ridiculous ideas, he has by association discredited some genuine research. A recent example appeared once again in 'The Biggest Secret' where he presented convincing evidence that ran counter to the official story about Princess Diana's death; but then, once again, he went and spoilt everything by claiming that the Royal Family are all reptilian alien hybrids who thrive on human flesh and blood. To any thoughtful person the idea is ridiculous and so, by association, casts doubt on the other ideas he presents, however valid.
Unwittingly or not, this man is helping further the plans of the New World Order whilst ostensibly speaking out against them. And the motive force is his own inflated ego.

And in answer to Esclarmonde that I am "an agent of the Crown" check out Tomlinson's historic affidavit; I was probably the first person to publish it in England and it brought me the attention of the Security Services because it clearly implicates them in Diana's death.

And contrast what Icke says about the Essenses with their actual teaching, listed below, there is a BIG difference:
