I expect I'll take a lot of heat for my slant on this issue, but here goes:
In my own naive way I was drawn to the "New Age" or "New Thought" philosophies over four decades ago. It was not that "New Age" brainwashed me: quite the opposite--the "New Age" philosophies fitted in with what I already believed and felt inside my soul as "truth". I was not raised with such ideas; I evolved in that direction independently during my teen years of searching....and without drugs! :<))
Thus I offer no apologies when I call myself a "New Age" person, by which _I_ mean:
(A) Someone who understands that ancient esoteric wisdom is resurfacing and revealing itself at this time when the Old (Piscean) Age of distortions and élitism is being replaced by the New (Aquarian) Age of information and truth open to all. (High time!)
(B) Someone who has studied the major religions of the world to seek the similar seeds of Truth in each and who thus honors all religions and their followers. (To each his own path, as Krishnamurti teaches...)
(C) Someone who constantly studies metaphysical principles and their relevance to the rapid evolutionary changes that humanity is now experiencing.
(D) Someone who strives hourly for greater consciousness as well as greater love and wisdom, and understands that "Life is consciousness".
(E) Someone who, peeering into the future, sees a "one world order" and a "one world (amalgamated) all inclusive religion" as not necessarily a negative thing, PROVIDED, of course, that the dominant world leaders are benevolent and uphold the sovereign rights of all human beings. (Yes, I foresee that it WILL happen!)

Just suppose that our "prison planet" is about to make a "jailbreak" into a cosmic confederation of inter-planetary
civilizations. To qualify for "membership" would we not have to show some sort of global UNITY of spiritual consciousness and purpose? How could we possibly be acceptable to more evolved spiritual extraterrestrial organizations in our present state of war, fear, violence and bloodshed?
Is it possible that all our global chaos and divisiveness is being continually stirred up by the dark side in order to keep us OUT of any benevolent cosmic confederations? Otherwise why is our govt. so intent on hiding the ET influence on our planet?
All the Lucis (Light) Trust material I have seen over the years points to human cooperation, peace, and racial, religious, and ethnic tolerance. It seems to me that their slant is quite the opposite of the NWO agenda. Yes, Lucis Trust is obviously well funded, and yes, it is close to the UN (I've visited both several times in the past), but does that mean that we should throw out the baby (Lucis) with the dirty bathwater (UN's bad stuff)? Is it conceivable that Lucis Trust is so placed (and funded) in order to monitor and positively influence the UN? Is the concept of a united world really so bad in itself, nwo agenda aside?
Just asking....
As for me, I will continue to describe myself as a "New Age" or "New Thought" person because by that description I mean someone who is seeking Truth and enLightenment. If others want to denigrate the term "New Age" so be it....to each his own TruthPath. Judgments usually backfire onto the judger.
I wish peace and harmony for all earth's creatures.
